Impact
Stories of change. Proof of progress.
We measure our impact by what matters most—how young people’s lives transform when they gain skills, confidence, and opportunity.
When youth are equipped with the skills that match real opportunities, everything changes. Families thrive. Communities stabilize. Economies grow. Markets move. Nations prosper. Work is more than a paycheck – it is purpose, dignity, and the foundation of progress.
Since IYF was founded, we have already impacted the lives of some 15 million young people—but millions more are waiting. They need bold, committed partners more than ever. We’re ready to rise to that challenge.

How We Measure Impact
Impact is more than data—it’s measurable evidence backed by human stories. We use baseline, exit, and ex-post surveys, along with third-party evaluations, to track and learn. Every insight helps refine programs and strengthen outcomes for youth worldwide.

What Success Looks Like
Four key outcomes define what we think success looks like:
- Job placement through an IYF supported program
- Enrolment in higher education or training because of new skills
- Entrepreneurial success, launching or expanding own businesses
- Sustained employment or career advancement over time.
We track both employer and youth satisfaction for six months after placement, because success is only when both sides are truly satisfied.
To ensure accuracy, we compare self-reported data against local benchmarks and exclude results that lack clear interpretability. By combining rigorous data collection with a commitment to learning, we generate insights that help us adapt, improve, and scale solutions.
