Google Code Jam

Google Code Jam（グーグル・コード・ジャム）は、Googleが主催していた国際的な競技プログラミングコンテストである[1]。2003年から2022年まで毎年開催され、世界中のプログラマーがアルゴリズム問題を解くことで競い合った[2]。

概要

Google Code Jamは、参加者が制限時間内に与えられたプログラミング問題を解くオンラインコンテストである[3]。使用言語は自由で、C++、Java、Pythonなどが一般的だった。

コンテストは複数のラウンドで構成され、Qualification Round（予選）から始まり、Round 1、Round 2、Round 3などを経て上位者がWorld Finalsに進出した[4]。World Finalsでは優勝者に賞金15,000ドルが贈られた。

参加者数はピーク時に数万人規模を記録し、Googleのエンジニア採用の一環としても機能していた[5]。

歴史

2003年に開始され、20年間にわたり続けられた[6]。

2023年2月22日、GoogleはCode Jamを含むコーディングコンテスト（Code Jam、Kick Start、Hash Code）の終了を正式に発表した[7]。同年4月15日にはFarewell Round（お別れラウンド）が開催され、プラットフォームは2023年7月1日に閉鎖された。

終了後の状況

終了後も問題のアーカイブはGitHubなどで公開されており、競技プログラミングの学習教材として利用されている[8]。
