Andrew & Tracie, Belton TX Engagement

We are back from Haiti! I am working on getting a Haiti blog ready for you guys. I took some great photos of some amazing people. And the best ones are the ones of the people whose story I got to hear, and burn into my heart. And I can’t wait to share these things with you guys.

But first….

Andrew and Tracie are getting married this Saturday in Belton. And since I’m not able to be at their wedding this weekend, I wanted to wait to post their blog until now. I am so glad Andrew and Tracie wanted to take their engagement photos in downtown Belton. It’s a beautiful place, and it is so special to so many people around here who met and fell in love in college. This is a really small town with such a wonderful feel. Andrew proposed to Tracie down by Nolan Creek at sunset. While we were down there shooting, some feathery friends joined us for a little while.

Congratulations to the almost newly weds, so excited to see where you guys take your life together from here.

Cara & Khang, married; Houston TX Wedding

Posted on

Cara and Khang got married in Houston in June and the day could not have been more beautiful. This was one of the most genuine weddings I’ve ever been invited to be a part of.

I am so privileged to be invited into these days with people. It is especially evident when there is a moment where the bride and groom see each other before the ceremony. Just the two of them. I can not express the feelings of gratitude I have in these moments, when people trust me enough to see them at their most vulnerable, one of the most intense moments of their life.

Cara & Khang, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day. It was full of moments that just made time stand still. You have this love that is so sweet and so deep all at once. I hope that you are able to see those things in these photos.

Rachel, CTCS Senior 2012

Posted on

Oh Rachel my Rachel. What can I say about you? So many lovely things and yet I can not express everything I know and love about you in one short (or even long) blog post.

To my readers: Rachel has been in the Vista’s youth group (of which my husband is the pastor) since her 7th grade year. She and her older brother were 2 of 6 kids in our group when the Church first started in 2006. To see more about The Vista in Bell County, please, visit here!

I can’t express what it’s like to watch a young Christian girl who goes to a Christian school become such a fierce, loving, and accepting woman of God as an 18 year old. Rachel has gone from referring to the Holy Trinity as, “You know, God and Jesus and all them” to praying over younger kids in our youth group with such deep spiritual knowledge that I can’t help but be inspired by her.

Plus she dressed up as a pirate for one part of her photo shoot, and then she put paint on her face. Who wouldn’t love her?

Please enjoy these frames from Rachel’s Senior photo shoot. I think you’ll see how easy it is to love her.
