Since it's that time of year again; where your mom buys all these extra snacks to have at home, that you don't normally get, and if you happen to spill breakfast in bed, the person its for doesn't matter all that much. Yes, you guessed it-

Happy Father's Day!

Well here is a little something, something for all those amazing men in our lives. My mom got some water in her eyes when she watched it so be prepared!

Now hurry, run and go give the big guy a hug and kiss, and tell him how great he really is, because sometimes the world, or you, or me don't really remember how great, and supportive dads are. 

Since this is my own post I wanted to tell my daddy how much I love him..

Up & Running

So far this spring/summer has been just that 'Up & Running', well you see my sis Hannah started crawling, and she's been climbing 'up' on everything, and since I'm such a stinkin' fast* runner, I prefer to run most places. So you could say we are having an active start to summer! We are learning new things, meeting new people, and making new memories on this new adventure!

*Disclaimer: This description is only in the imagination of Naleah, fueled by the encouragement of mom, in reality, she is not as fast as she thinks, she has just figured that if she swings her arms quick enough, then it seems like she is 'stinkin' fast', but we will let her pretend, because isn't that what childhood is all about? :)

 

Being farther away from civilization makes it so you can't just run to the store when you are in desperate need of a swimming pool when the weather is so hot, so we are working with what we got!

 Spending time with the buddies at Mantua! Doing a little fishing of my own and then getting uncle Tom to take us out on his fishing boat!

 

 This year, while mom went to Women's Conference, we got to hang out with dad- ALL DAY LONG! You want to know what this means?

 Spending the day in our jammy's.

 Wearing our hair the way we want...

 And getting as dirty as we would ever really want to! 

But it was a good experience for us and mom! She said that she got to run into some of her dear dear friends from New York!

 When I went to play at Baba's house, Aunt Paula and Mahasti helped me to become a true Princess!

 Went up to the mountains to pick mom's Mother's Day flowers!

My girl Maya celebrated her 1st B-day, the whole party was amazing, there was Minnie Mouse stuff everywhere!

 Got my share of throwing rocks in the river

 Actually knew what my mom was talking about this year for Easter, found my own eggs, got presents from the bunny, and spent time with family!

 Like I said, the little sister is crawling now, but big whoop, its not like I haven't already been there done that!

 And was able to get through the couple of rainy days by heading to the Airspace museum!

Gone Are the (Winter) Days!

Happy 1st Day of Spring! 

With Spring being here already, I figured it was about time to recap how fun winter was this year, it went so fast for us, but I'm glad the good weather is ahead!

Last weekend mom and dad headed to Moab with the older kids and grown ups of the family for some jeeping, some hiking, and SUN!

We spent some much needed time at the museum

I decided that I was going to force spring to come by 'laying out' a little early

But only in my 'Sunday best'

Watch movies with Baba

I know what you're thinking, 'A naked baby in winter?' Some kids' parents! But we took some time as a family to travel to California. Discovered the largest swimming pool in the world (ocean). And just so DCFS doesn't get contacted it was my choice/ stubborness that lead to being naked while everyone else is dressed. I let this wave of water take me down and since I was soaked I figured being naked was better.

Played in the snow with the buddies. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for letting us play on your toys.

So since I haven't blogged about Christmas yet, I figured I should share this funny story. So my mom thought she'd be all creative and build me a nice fort with ONE COUCH AND ONE BLANKET, I know pathetic huh? I guess she doesn't like cleaning up multiple messes. Well when my dad discovered I was hiding under ONE dumb blanket and I was calling it a fort, he decided to help mom out. And this is the amazing fort we had up for A WEEK before Christmas.

And in case anyone is wondering, SANTA CAME! He brought me this awesome kitchen  that my dad helped him to make.

New Year= New Pictures

With a new year comes another round of mommy bugging dad to get our pictures taken. For some reason its real important to mom to have Hannah in our family pictures, weird huh? Well with just about everything--the squeeky wheel gets the grease--mom got her pictures!

 

  

  

The Best Things in Life ARE Free!

Yes, Ladies and Gents I'm talking about Free Day at the Zoo!

 We got to go to the zoo with Aunt Heidi and the boys and may I recommend the new arctic exhibit as the best part of the zoo, almost Sea World like really!

 Scary huh? Don't worry there's glass- gotcha!

 For Thanksgiving we had dinner at Grandma Balwin's church dinner and then headed up to Bear Lake for the weekend to stay at the cabin and get our traditional Christmas Trees.

 Got to spend some time with my boy McKoy, he's got the coolest pantry of treats that I've found by far!

 We had some fun at Grandma & Grandpa's family parties! Here's all the buddies on a hayride.

 So November started out with our first bit of snow and with my mom saying her prayers of wanting daddy to take down the tree, before it fell on our house, were answered by the big guy upstairs having the snow force it down. It was a huge blessing none of the limbs over our house fell so daddy got his truck to pull them down!

Priceless huh? Me and little sissy on one of our many car ride adventures these past months! She's gotten me through every one!
