I know I should be blogging about christmas but I never got around to Halloween, or thanksgiving!
So OCTOBER!
I'm obsessed with all holidays that's definetely been established over these years of posting.
Just can't get enough of halloween and all the fun traditions that come along with it.
I also love pumpkin.everything.
For the whole month of october we pretty much have pumpkin somehow incorportated into all three meals! not kidding. I even ate a whole costo pumpkin pie myself in a couple days (minus a slice, from ben). I LOVE it.
I usually always have my pumpkin candle burning and try and wear as many beanies as sunny cal will allow me to!
Some festivities this year!
The pumpkin patch.{mulitple ones}
Pumpkin City {quickly becoming one of our favorite traditions. this year was particulary fun. ella was so into it. she's really understanding the concept of the holidays now. also...those dinky little swings?? I've never laughed so hard in all my life then when she was cruisin around and around on them. sometimes the smallest things make you so happy with kids}.
Ellas play group.
We did a little trick or treating and the kids played some games.
Irvine park {horse riding and another pumpkin patch}
HALLOWS EVE SKELLIES
okay...this was a new tradition but I really would love to do it every year.
I noticed this trend of skelly jammies so I thought it would be fun to have all the kids over the night before halloween in their pjs and we could read halloween stories and have treats and play some games. It was crazy (as always with so many toddlers) but come on!!! #cutenessoverload
And....halloween itself!!
I feel like we usually end up doing so many things leading up to halloween that this year I was almost relieved to have it over! Ben and I were the hunstman. Ella little red. And Jude the big bad wolf.
We met up with some friends at three arch and watched the parade, ate some pizza, and went to get our candy on. Finn and Ella were pretty cute charging into everyones house. They were all about it this year which of course made it suuuuper fun. I'm starting to really feel like that "mom"...if that makes sense. I always was one but now that these kids are getting older and "getting it" it's like the beginning of an era it seems. Here we go!!
