Visit with the Supples

The first weekend in December Jordan's cousin Angie and her family came to town.  They actually lived in the area for a few years, but moved to Chicago right before we moved here.  We met up with them at the J.W. Marriott resort they were staying at.  It was beautiful there!  And I love that we can go swimming in December :)

They had a huge Wizzard of Oz gingerbread display. The kids loved it!

They even had the crew out for pictures!

Writing a letter to Santa
We went back a few days later so I could take pictures of Kendall and Jack.  They are such cute kids!  I loved meeting Angie and her family, and it makes me even sadder that they moved away before we got to hang out!  Here is a link to some pics of Kenall and Jack that I took.  Kenall & Jack

A Story of Love

"The story of Christmas is a story of love" - Henry B. Eyring

"There is no better time than now, this very Christmas season, for all of us to rededicate ourselves to the principles taught by Jesus Christ.  It is the time to love the Lord, our God, with all our heart - and our neighbors as ourselves.  It is well to remember that he who gives money gives much; he who gives time gives more; but he who gives of himself gives all.
[Christmas] is the time we realize most deeply that the more love is expended, the more there is of it for others."

Christmas is Love.

Thanksgiving

Brenda and I cooked Thanksgiving dinner, and it was delicious!  The guys watched football almost all day, but Calin did catch a little bit of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and loved it.

After we ate we went on a walk around the neighborhood (during halftime).  My dad made sure it was extra short so he could get back to watching football :)

The day after Thanksgiving we did some shopping and played ball at the park.

We had so much fun with my dad and Brenda and are so happy they could come and visit!  We miss them, and wish we could see them for Christmas!

Bass Pro Shop

On our way home from Scottsdale we stopped by Bass Pro Shop on our way home.  Its so much fun at Christmas time!

The kids got their free pictures with Santa.  Calin LOVED seeing Santa.  He told him he wanted cars for christmas.  And every day since then he has been telling me Santa is bringing him cars :)

Capri was not happy about her visit with Santa.

They had a craft station for the kids to make a candy cane reindeer.  Calin loved it.  And the hat too.  He refused to take the hat off.  So My dad and Brenda switched it out for a youth size so it would fit him better and bought it for him, and got Capri a pink camo hat that says "hunting princess on it" with a crown and everything.  Calin refuses to wear the blue one because it has a mesh back, but he LOVES to wear the pink one.  HA!  He puts it on for at least 2-3 hours every day.

At least Capri doesn't mind wearing the blue one  :)
We also spend lots of time playing with all the games.

When Capri saw this small pink tent she squealed, bursted out of Jordan's arms, ran into the tent and laid down on the sleeping bag.  She thought they put it up just for her :)

This was the best picture I could get of my dad and Brenda with both kids.

Goldfield

We headed back to Goldfield, a mining/ghost town, with my dad and Brenda while they were here.  My mom and I took the kids there when she visited, but it was much easier this time with the adults outnumbering the kids :)

Calin was really into posing for pictures that day.  He kept saying "Picture mom!"  I loved it!

Old Town Scottsdale

Scottsdale is a pretty cool town.  We walked around all the shops in Old Town with my dad and Brenda.  There was an author having a book signing, and I can't remember his name, but my dad would remember.

We ate at Grimaldi's.  I didn't even know there were other locations besides the one under the Brooklyn Bridge that we visited a few times while living in PA and NJ.  Turns out there are a few in this area :)
