Capri - 6 months

Now that I finished all our Florida posts, I can finally share these pictures with you!
Image

For Capri's 6 month pics I headed over to Kelly's and had a little photoshoot.  Capri was pretty distracted by all the props, but Kelly did a great job at refocusing her attention so I could get some good shots.

Image

She is growing up so fast!

Image

I started her on some baby food this month, and she seems to be doing pretty well with it.  I mostly just give her rice cereal and she gobbles it up!

Image

I hope she continues liking it and turns out to be a good eater!

Image

She has one bottom tooth breaking through right now.

Image

She is moving!  Not officially crawling, but she pushes herself all over the house.
Image

She still likes to be wrapped while sleeping, and always wants a pacifier.

Image

She was the only one who lost anything at Disney World (well, her and my mom).  She lost 3 headbands, and 2 toys while at the parks.

Image

She loves to be cuddled!  Always wants to be held, and rarely enjoys playing by herself.

Image

I'm hoping Calin will learn to play better WITH her soon, so I don't always have to be holding or entertaining her.

Image

Still no hair.  Just a tiny bit of fuzz.

Image

And she just started pulling off her headbands.  ugh!  :)

Image

She LOVES us to sing to her.  Especially when she's going to sleep.  She even makes these cute little noises that sounds like she's singing along to the song.  It's pretty cute!

Image

She sits unsupported really well.  I don't have to worry about her falling and hitting her head too hard on the floor anymore.  And I can tell she's working on trying to get into the sitting position herself.

Image

Here are her 6mo stats compared to her 4mo

Six Month Stats:
Weight: 16 lbs 15 oz - 70%
Height:  26" - 52%
Head Circumference: 42cm - 35%

Four Month Stats:
Weight: 14 lbs 10 oz - 75%
Height:  25" - 75%
Head Circumference: 42cm - 76%
Image
She loves Calin!   And Calin loves her, but since she can move now and is more interested in toys, he's not as willing to share as he used to be.  We're working on it :)
Image

She's a dady's girl.  She loves to be rocked to sleep by dad! And lights up when she sees him!

Cutest little things ever!

Florida - Pool, Park, Fun!

This vacation was WAY more relaxing than I thought it would be!  We all got plenty of sleep, had tons of fun, spent lots of time with family and lots of time at the parks, AND we also were able to enjoy the resort we stayed at.
We usually had a little time each day to spend at the pool.

Is there anything cuter than a baby girl in a swimsuit!?

Jordan really wanted to stay somewhere that had a water slide, but we thought it was just going to be one of those crummy ones, that you get stuck on, and not super fun. Wow, we were wrong! This slide was fantastic!
Image

Jordan was trying to get my mom to go down, but she didn't want to get her hair wet, so he told her it wasn't that fast, and she would be able to stop herself if she wanted to.
Image
Even the thought of this picture cracks me up!  I still threaten my mom that I'm going to post it on her Facebook :)
HA!  Not true!  There was no stopping in this slide!  It was fast!

The park there was great too!  Calin loved it.  For some reason we didn't get any pictures of it, but here is a video of us, and you can sort of see the castle playground in the background.

Our last day there we headed to downtown disney.  Jordan and Calin loved the Lego store.  They have a little play room where you can sit and build with Legos.  Neither of them wated to leave.
Image

Well, I think I'm finally finished posting about our Florida trip from last month.  But hopefully there will be many more posts of Disney World this summer!  We found out a couple weeks ago that our office is selling in Orlando!  I'm hoping we live close enough to make an annual pass worth it!  So anyone willing to brave the summer heat and crowds at WDW this summer, let us know you are more than welcome to stay with us!  I can't guarantee we'll have a waterslide, but I'm sure we will have a nice pool to cool down at and maybe take an mid-day nap? :)

Epcot & Animal Kingdom

We spent a day and a half at Epcot, and one day at Animal Kingdom.

My mom was with us for our full day at Epcot, and we had a blast. It was a much more relaxing day than the other parks. We were able to take our time and enjoy traveling through all the different countries.

ImageImage
I was actually kind of nervous about taking a stroller with us, but wow, what a handy thing to have! Packing around all of our stuff would be such a pain without the stroller! (Even when Jordan and I were on by ourselves at Magic Kingdom one night I wished we had our stroller so we didn't have carry our stuff)
Image

I LOVE this picture of Calin, it cracks me up!
Image
We also waited in line to see Beauty and the Beast. Calin was SO excited to see the Beast, but once we finally got up there, he was too scared and didn't want to get too close. Capri sure loved Bell though!
Image

Image
He sure did love Santa though! I wasn't sure he would know who Santa was, but oh my was he excited to see him!
Image

Animal Kingdom was pretty fun. This was the only park my mom didn't get to visit with us.
ImageImage

We went on a Safari, and some treks to look at animals, saw some great musicals (nemo and lion king) and then headed into Dino-Rama where the real fun was. They have it set up like a carnival. Calin had a blast playing the games and won quite a few stuffed animals.

He loved chasing Jordan around "scaring" him with the animals he had won.
Animal Kingdom was probably our most relaxing day.  It wasn't crowded at all, and we were able to walk around and enjoy the shows and sites without being on any type of schedule.

We took so many videos on this trip, and most are on our phones so Calin watches them every day.  I'm hoping they will help him remember, but most likely he won't remember any of it.  That's ok though.  We had an opportunity to go, and went.  We'll have more trips in the future that the kids will remember.  And even though they won't remember this trip, it was totally worth it!  Jordan and I will remember.  And these memories are worth every penny!!

Magic Kingdom

We spent 2 days at Magic Kingdom. Hollywood Studios was our favorite park, but I loved watching how much fun Calin had at Magic Kingdom. It really is Magical! Really!

Image
Our first day at Magic Kingdom we arrived 45min before the gates opened.

on the tram heading to the gates
We thought that was plenty of time, but it was already SO crowded! It happened to be the day Justin Bieber was performing for the taping of the Christmas parade. It was madness!
Image

Luckily we didn't care to see Bieber, and had 3 hours of absolutely NO lines on ANY rides. Magic I tell you! :)

And since we had so much free time we were able to visit lots of characters, and watch the parades. We weren't planning on doing either of those things, we didn't think Calin would be too interested, boy were we wrong! He loved the parades! And loved meeting characters!
A few notes about this video -
1 - Calin LOVES the Beast, and he looked at Calin and waved to him (even clapped when Calin was clapping) the whole time he was in sight. Calin really thought it was magic!
2- Jordan's expression cracks me up every time I see this video! (around 55sec into the video)

Calin had so much fun seeing all these characters dance and sing! He would have loved to be up there dancing with them, lol
(the first half of this video is me recording in front, and the second half is Jordan recording behind us)

Calin didn't know who Peter Pan was before this picture.  Now he LOVES Peter Pan!!
Image
Calin wasn't too sure about Stitch, but Capri loved him!

See, even Capri enjoyed Disney World! She really did. She loved all the music, and colors, and shows, and rides. She was so good our whole trip!
Image
Oh, and she also loved the giant turkey leg!

This is what Calin looked like everyday around noon as we headed back to the resort.
Image
After naps and swimming we usually returned to the park around 4 each day and stayed until about 7.

Jordan and I were even able to go back to the park one night for a date while my mom stayed home with sleeping kids. We were so tired we didn't do much, but it was still great! We sat in our own little reserved section (we just happened to be the only ones there) by the river in front of the castle and ate some ice-cream and delicious cookies. Probably one of my favorite moments. Well, actually, everything was my favorite! It was just so great!

Such fun memories!
