As most of you know I took a trip of a life time stopping in 10 countries, seeing 9 of them traveling from mid April to mid May, 2008. Climbing up mountain sides, walking back in history, observing incredible views, discovering new cultures, relaxing with superb massages. I could go on and on. I am grateful for this stupendous adventure and a great co-worker/travel companion. Chris and I began our adventure in Peru traveling on to (Argentina where we had a short layover but didn't see anything!), Chile, Easter Island, Tahiti, New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Budapest, and Prague. Many have asked what we liked best. That is so hard. Machu Picchu is spectacular, the Floating Islands of Lake Titicaca fascinating, Easter Island mystical with a beautiful coast, New Zealand we only saw the North Island which I found very similiar to England, Thailand massages were great (Bangkok a very big city where we arrived in time for celebrating Budha's Birthday, Chaing Mai in the north was clean, relaxing, and people were very friendly), Hong Kong - when people say there is no other city in the world like New York City, I say there also is no other city in the world like Hong Kong, Budapest is a wonderful city that we enjoyed during a holiday weekend with lots of happenings, and finally Praque which I had seen with Genine and Pat and again with my niece Hannah, remains in my opinion the prettiest city in the world where we walked many of the back streets. I returned home to leave the next day for Washington DC for my nephew Joe's graduation! So without boring you anymore I will show you a few pix from my Global Trek.

What makes my life happy? Being a Mom, Being a Grandma, and Travel. Luckily my work and budgeting skills allows me to enjoy all three!! I can have fun with my kids, hunt for bugs or babysit the grandkids when needed, and travel when the mood strikes. I also enjoy a great relationship with my nieces and nephews who I am grateful for and who share my interest in travel. Life is good!!
