it's just not fair

ImageWe did the Puyallup Fair.  There really wasn't anything special this year, just a regular fair with rides and overpriced delicious food.
Ella went on the carousel multiple times (her favorite ride).

ImageAlison tried a roller coaster for the first time.  I was shocked and new she would be scared, but let her make her choice.  She sat next to a girl with her face painted like a cat, whose mother also knew her daughter wouldn't like the ride.
The 2 of us just laughed and waved as we watched out daughters in terror.  The cat face paint made her daughter funnier to watch.

ImageThe girl's faces in the picture are awesome!

We had our elephant ears.  We went home and I made cotton candy for Ella and a carmel apple for Alison.

Shave and a haircut

This picture says it all, cute and dangerous.

With a few days before family pictures I should have been more prepared.  I didn't hide the markers, fake tatoos....or sissors.  I was just as shocked as the rest of the family that it was Alison and not Ella.  Fortunately Alison is loving her new hair cut.  Image

Down by the river

ImageWe spent a beautiful Sunday with Grandy and took a trip to river to cool off on a hot summer day.

On the move

Image I welcomed the fact that he didn't know he could crawl.  I finally got tired of him fussy and wanting me to walk him everywhere.  So I laid a trail of cheerios (food is his only motivation) and he was off.  He went straight on his hands and knees.  Image

ImageNow he crawls over to me wherever I am to get me to walk him around.

The Kindergarden Kid

ImageYes, my husband is laughing at me for taking a picture of her waiting at her bus stop.  She was quite excited to take the bus and wouldn't let me take her.  We followed her bus to school, and Ella was so excited to greet her.
Image
ImageThe kid next to her kept making faces, which she was oblivious to.  His mom kept trying to get him to stop. It made me laugh.
Image
She has LOVED everyday and is so excited when she wakes up to get ready for school.

CDA Reunion

We spent a week with the Jarvis clan on Lake Coeur d'alene.  We had beautiful 90 degree weather.  We played, ate, and played some more.

Enchanted Village

ImageI have learned that Enchanted Village is now Wild Waves.  Only living a few miles away I FINALLY took my kids there.  I relived my own childhood riding the boats like I did with my brother and sister.

ImageThe kids had a blast playing in the wave pool and the rides.  They were so sweet and lovely the whole time.  My heart just melted to see them enjoying the time together and their eyes twinkling from this amazing new place that they got to play at.  GREAT DAY!

Lake Chelan

ImageAlthough titled Lake Chelan, I didn't take any pictures of the lake.  I wasn't really that impressed.  The kids had a great trip though.  Alison discovered her love for go carts.

ImageWe had to take a small detour to Cashmere to the Aplets and Cotlets factory.  I was adimit that we get the kids hats and take a picture for Grandy for her to remember another perfect day we had.

We spent a full day with TYC.  Alison was doing boat security for the Tacoma airshow with Dad.  Ella, Calvin, and Mom all were at the club house having a BBQ.  The airshow was boring and, like usually, accompanied by LONG.  We got back home  to play with pop its and sparklers.  Fortunately Ella burned her pajamas and not her skin.  We then found a nice play to watch F-dub's firework show.  We were exhausted.

Flocked!

Image

We flocked the Backman's the night before an open house to celebrate Jordan's marriage. It was too fun to see 70 pink flamingos. They were good sports and loved the decorations.
