MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

Madison's first time to the lake! I love her little suit and hat that the girls from Jimmy's work got her! She doesn't love it but it's so cute!

Image

A couple weeks ago the Hansen's bought a boat and we were excited when they invited us to go out with them to Sand Hollow on Memorial Day!

Mya loves the boat and did so good all day!

Image

She jumped right out on the tube with Jamaica and had a blast! She did awesome holding on too!

Jamaica and I didn't do as well on the tube together but it was a lot of fun! We both are sore three days later!

Poor Jaida was not loving the boat and got a little cold. Daniel helped warm her up and then she passed out on me while we watched everyone else try to knee board.

The BIG kids got to go out and do their own thing with wake boarding and stuff so I stayed with Madison and Mya on shore.

We built a sand castle and had so much fun!

When they got back Jaida joined in the fun of tearing the castle down. It was a fun day at the lake!

WEEKEND FUN

Image

Image

We had a fun time in Vegas a couple weekends ago. Carter had a baseball game in the morning and then Taylor had a volleyball tournament in the afternoon. We made a weekend of it and stayed at our best good family friends Melinda and Jesse's house.

Image

Carter at his baseball game getting some advice on hitting from his step-dad Brock. They barely lost the game but they had a lot of fun.

Image

The sweetest picture of my baby doll! Isn't she adorable!!!

Image

She loves her brother that's for sure, she is so happy around Carter and Taylor when we get to see them. We miss being together!

Image

Taylor's tournament was at 2pm and we got back to Melinda's house at 9pm. It was a little much in the gym ALL day but Madison did pretty well and we had Jimmy's friend Robert to talk to and keep us company. Taylor hurt her thumb during warm ups to her first game and didn't serve or really play the whole day. We are going to have to rethink this volleyball thing :)

Image

We got home on Sunday and went to Jamaica's house for her birthday and the solar eclipse!

Image

Image

The best place to see the eclipse in the world was in Kanab about an hour from us... so we had pretty good seats!

MADISON 2 MONTHS

We went to Dr Gessel's office today for Madison's two month appointment. The doctor came in and said that she looks like she is 4 months not 2 months cause she's so big! She weighed in at 12.11 pounds and is 24.5 inches long putting her in the 97th percentile! She also got her first round of immunization shots and she screamed when she got them but a half minute later and snuggled with mom she stopped and fell asleep. She was a little beside herself for a couple days but all in all it was better than I had expected! She spent most of the day sleeping and here she is with her bandaids and sticker from the doctor's office :)

Image

Image

Some big milestones for her in the last month have been getting her toe nails painted! She also has found her tongue and drools a little and she has found her hands and watches them all day long.
Image
She has been sleeping pretty good, naps every hour during the day and then sleeps from 6-8pm and then wakes up at 11pm and 5am and 9am! Totally works for me!
She LOVES taking tubbies but HATES getting out and getting dressed! I think the AC is too cold for her! She smiles at us ALL day long and is a happy talkative little girl!

She has done this with her right hand since the day she was born it's cute, the nurses in the hospital caught on to it and thought it was so adorable!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

This year is my first real Mother's Day. It's really so fulfilling to have Madison as my own daughter. Having her makes me feel even more like a mom to Taylor and Carter too which is awesome. We are more of a family because of her.
This is us getting ready for bed in jammies from Grandma Frahm, the best mom in the whole world!!

ImageWe spent the afternoon over at the Lindell's house. Madison loves her Grandma Lindell too, every time I need to calm her down I turn her over to Cathy. She always gets her smiling!

Image

Twinner cousins! Madison and Lily are 6 weeks apart and Madison is already just as tall as Lily. They are so cute holding hands though!!

Image

I love my baby's big blue eyes! I hope she keeps them! I was so glad that Taylor and Carter remembered to call me on Mother's Day too. It was sweet to hear from them and that they love me as much as I love them!

IRONMAN SAINT GEORGE 2012

Image

My nephew Michael took over coordinating my bike aid station from last year. He did all the work up front with meetings and getting people there. He did a lot of work and I was so proud of him. He took it on as his Eagle Scout project and it was a total success! All I had to do was show up the morning of the race which was awesome! I took Madison with me and she hung out in the car with Mya. We would all go check on her but she slept until the last hour or so.

Image

Thanks to Bret Sevy we had music and are able to announce to our crew. I love blarring music out in the wild west. My mom and dad were down for the weekend. We had Julie's graduation on Friday night, Saturday was the Ironman and then Sunday we blessed Madison. They had a lot of fun at the Ironman and are TOTALLY coming back next year they loved it! My dad loved watching all the bikes and helping hold their bikes and check them out as the athletes used the bathroom. He brought out his mega phone and was yelling at everyone too! We ALL danced and had a blast!

The scouts have put up 100 American flags for us last year and this year and it looks so amazing. You can see them from the Interstate and they are SO beautiful!

Image

Image

Not sure who the biker is above but below is Axel, the men's second place finisher and then in the stars is Ben Hoffman the 1st place finisher. Axel was 1st by our bike aid station (mile 11) and Ben was 3rd.

Image

My mom and I enjoying our lunch around 5pm down at the finish line. Jamaica is the finishline catcher captain every year and so we do my bike station from 5am-noon and then are at the finishline with her from 2-midnight! Party rockin'!

Image

The aftermath... after the aid station in the morning we all took a nap... some a little more spontantious than others...

Image

Jamaica won volunteer captain of the year and gets to go to any Ironman race in the continental USA (not Hawaii bummer) and it is for her and Daniel so they get hotel and flights and rental car all paid for I think. I'm pretty sure they are going to New York and taking Michael and Haleigh with them. They are stoked and she deserves it!!

MADISON KAYE LINDELL

A name and a blessing...
