Jason's Temple Day

Jason went through the Mt. Timpanogos Temple today to take out his own endowments.

Granny, Granddad, aunt Nettie, me, Jason, Roger, aunt Dianne, and Uncle Glenn.

Best buddy, Landon Jones, came also.  

Together these two would attend the temple many more times in the following 6 weeks before leaving on their missions.   Usually, 2-3 times a week and once even 3 times in one day.

Amy was disappointed when Santa didn't bring her an Easy Bake Oven.  Before opening family gifts, Mom got on the computer, made a call, then went for a drive to make sure she was a happy girl.  Whew!

Christmas Adam (comes before Eve)

The kids love to sleep out under the Christmas tree the night before Christmas Eve which they call Christmas Adam.

Sleigh Ride at the Southam's

The Southam's asked Jason to drive their sleigh around the streets for all their friends and neighbors.  It is their "Christmas gift".  The weather was mild when Jason headed out, but soon a cold rain and wind moved in that soaked us all.  We scrambled to find more protection for Jason to help him through not just one hour like originally asked, but 2 1/2!  It was freezing!

They hang lights around the top of the wagon and everyone piles on to sit on the hay bales and bundle up while singing carols as we drive around the neighborhood.

They set up a huge army tent with heat, Santa, popcorn and hot chocolate. Oh yeah.  Amy is soaked.

Zac took a turn in the little train ride before we headed home to warm up.

Fun December Dance

Lots of planning, but lots of fun!

Jason's Snowflakes

Jason home from his first semester at USU.  During December and especially finals, he spent his time cutting out snowflakes with cute girls instead of playing video games with the guys.  Smart boy - give him an "A". 

 He hung them up in our family room and they stayed there until he left for his Germany.
