Couple of must see/read
If you haven't seen this movie yet I highly recommend you make a night of it! One of the best movies I've seen in along time! Makes you laugh, then cry, then laugh again!
I would also recommend you read one or all of the books on my shelf! Just good quick easy Christmas reads! In case you have a little extra time on your hands right now!
More Christmas. . .
And our Christmas continues. . .

- decorating a gingerbread house that eventually collapsed!
- Christmas dinner! It always amazes me how long it takes to cook, and how quickly it is eaten and dinner is over! But it was great having both sets of Grandparents here at the same time!

Christmas
We had a Nelson family Christmas this year! Not very often to get ALL of Jake's family in St. George at one time so we were extra excited for this Christmas!
First of all Jake's sister Jenny is finally pregnant so she had to do some shopping! We can hardly wait for her little baby to come in May. She is due on Paige's birthday May 16! Jenny will find out what the baby is on Jan. 4!!
Next, we all went to watch Taylor at tumbling. She has learned many new tricks this year so she was excited to show them off for the family! She made it about 1/2 way through practice until she pulled a muscle in her stomach! It was very sad! Taylor is a pretty tough girl, so we knew when she started crying she must be really hurting. We were all still extremely impressed with her tumbling abilities!!
On Wednesday Tom was flying into Vegas so Jake, his dad and Jenny went to pick him up while the girls and I stayed home with Grandma Suze and Ben. The kids made cookies while I was trying to finish up all of the last minute wrapping and neighbor gifts! Later that night we went to Red Lobster (YUM!) then out to Tuacahan to watch the live Nativity. The weather was perfect but very crowded which we expected since it was the last night! Paige's favorite part is when the camel kneeled down so I had to take a picture of it!
Stay tuned for the rest of our Christmas week. . .

Thanksgiving
The girls and I took an amazing trip to Sacramento for Thanksgiving! We headed out Wed. morning around 5:00am with Map Quest directions on my lap, a large map of CA on Taylors' and a GPS, nicknamed Grace, in the middle of us. I'll have to admit I was a bit apprehensive about the distance I was about to travel, but felt very prepared and ready for the challenge. That was until my check tire light came on. I stopped in Primm and to my dismay found I only had 10lbs of pressure in my driver's rear tire. I felt like I had reached the end of my trip already! But I made a quick decision, filled up the tire with air, and chose to ignore the hissing sound coming from it! Every approximately 150ish miles the light would come back on and I would have to stop and fill up the tire. After many heart felt prayers and 700 and some miles we braved the endless traffic and arrived at my sister's house in Lincoln, CA (small town outside of Sac). We unloaded our luggage, discussed the trip, then came back out to check the tire and sure enough, it was completely flat!!! How I made it that far I will never know but it was worth all of the stress and sweat! We had a great time with Rochelle and her family and Matt's extended family. They are such a great group of people! We ate Thanksgiving at Matt's dad's clubhouse and took many pictures on the surrounding grounds. Saturday we drove to San Fransisco and toured Alcatraz. Taylor has been wanting to do that for a few years and it was well worth the trip! I chose to wear some ever so cute high heels on the trip which didn't work out to well when trying to climb the hills up to the prison! I ended up carrying them most of the way! Our trip was just way to short! Before we knew it we were packing up and heading home Sunday morning! With the help of Grace we arrived in St. George late Sunday night with no problems to report! You know I had a brand spankin' new tire on my car! Heaven forbid a girl goes into a car place and doesn't leave without spending way more then necessary! But at least I was safe!

Soccer's Over
Paige had her last soccer game on Saturday. They ended up losing but played hard the entire game! I must say I'm glad the season is over because it was getting a little TOO serious towards the end! The girls are after all only 7 - 8!

Lovin' Fall!
Ok, I've posted a few times because I am excited my computer has not quit working! I've had the hardest time lately with the Internet connection, but tonight I'm on a roll! It seems like things happen in threes! Our big screen tv went out, our phones quit working, and so did the Internet! I think we have finally fixed all three! Let's hope nothing else goes wrong!

I'm loving this time of year. . .the weather is perfect and the tree are beautiful! I snapped a few pictures in our backyard before the leaves fell off!
Good Friends, Good Times!
The Cuthbertsons came to visit over the weekend. The kids had fun giving each other pedicures and trying to complete everything on their "To Do" list they had been making all week over the phone. It was great to play games and just catch up with Kevin and Mary!

Paige had a soccer game Halloween morning. This is her scary face and her Halloween donut!

Trick-or-Treating with cousins Bailee, Kortney, and Karlie. We were so excited Melissa and her girls came down to spend the weekend with us!
Tons of candy and fantastic weather, couldn't ask for much more!

I haven't had much time to post lately, and when I have, I couldn't get my pictures to appear. So finally here are a few pictures of what we've been doing. . .

Taylor's cheer team performed at one of Desert Hills home games. It was their first performance so I will wait to post a video of their new routine until they have worked a few bugs out!
As you can see all we have been doing is football, football, and more football! Right now Jake is with the team in Heber City getting ready to play their first playoff game against Wasatch High School. The game is at 2:00 and will be broadcast on the radio if you are interested! May the best team win! It would be ok with me to be done with the season, but for Jake's sake, time and effort, I hope they pull off a big win! Then maybe next week we could have another home game!
