Is Christmas really over...

Well Christmas was great as always. We went to Utah on Friday and came home yesterday. It was very eventfull. Saturday we went to my dads in West Valley to celebrate Christmas. It was really nice. The food was good and the company was great. I got to see my grandma Harvey she is 91 I think, and she acts like she is 50 maybe. She is the sweetest lady ever!! Then Saturday night we had dinner at Idle Isle with my mom and step dad. It was delicious.
Sunday we went to church which is always good. Then we had dinner at my grandpa Bales' house with all my cousins and aunts and unkles. It was nice to see everyone. My sister was here from California. My mom and Tim and sisters form Oregon and brother from Bountiful. It SUCKS having family live so far away!!!! I MISS THEM ALL LIKE CRAZY!!! But the nice thing is that when we get together its like we see eachother all the time.
We sent christmas Eve and Christmas day with Jareds family. Which is great. We took Jackson on his first sleigh ride behind the four wheeler. Grandpa drove and daddy and Jackson went for the ride. Jackson loved it.
Christmas day was great. Jackson was more in to the bows on the presents then anything else. That night we went and saw the lights. Jackson loved all the lights. But then again he loves anthing out side.

We had a great Christmas and hope you all had a Merry Christmas and got everything you wanted and more!!!

mommy's little elf....

Momma's little elf loves to play with the presents under the tree. He's starting to tear at some of them so we are having to watch him when he gets over there.

Well we haven't been up to much. We have all been sick with a cold. Can I just say that it sucks when your kids are sick. I hate watching him be miserable, and he can't tell me whats wrong. Hate it!!! But we are all doing better except daddy, he got it a week after Jackson and I so its still hanging on.

Well today is the first day in about a week that it hasn't snowed and the sun actually came out, but man its dang cold. This morning it was -11.7. Brrrr.

GUESS WHAT....................................

Guess What.... Surprise we are expecting #2. We are so excited!!!! We tried for ever to get Jackson and this one came much easier. We are so happy.... We will welcome our new bundle of joy in July.

We got our christmas tree today when we got home. We went and got it in the mountains behind our house. It was fun. Jackson enjoyed looking for one. He just kept looking up at all the big trees. As soon as we found the perfect tree Jackson was out like a light. This is such a great tradition.....

Thanksgiving

Well we just got back from Utah for Thanksgiving. It was really nice Jared had the week off so we spent it at Jareds parents house. We tried to get all out christams shopping done. There isn't much up here so when we go to Utah we always have a list of things to do and things to get. Luckily we got a lot of it done. We even went out shopping today on black friday and we got everything we wanted and then some. Which is good and bad of course. The week just flew by, there was always something to do or someone to see. It was really nice. We had Thankgiving dinner at Jareds moms house. It was so good. Jareds sister and her hubby were there. They moved to Wyoming when we did, but there aren't close to us, and we haven't seen them forever. It was so good to see them. We always have fun together. I posted some pictures below. This weekend Jareds family came to visit. We went hiking up the the falls. They are so beautiful. There is ice forming and it looks cold. We also went to cotton wood lake. The lake is allready starting to freeze. Jared and Braden were throwing rocks to break the ice. It made the coolest sound. Man it was cold up there. Then we came home and watched the jazz game. It was a nice weekend.

I was going through some pictures and thought I'd add these. The one with the buffalo is at Jackson Hole. The one with me and Jackson is at Jackson Dam fishing. The one with Jackson sticking out his tongue is at the Box Elder county fair. Grandpa Smith took the picture just at the right moment!!! and then there is Jared and the brown trout, the 3rd love of his life, after Jackson and I of course.

Well not to much is new with us, its just getting colder everyday. No snow yet though. I'm told it gets really cold up here. They have seen 40 delow before. It might be a long winter. well, this weekend we are buying a new truck! Well new to us, its a 2005 Chevy Colorado. I'll have to post a picture of it when we get it.

Look...I got a new toy.

Well its been a while since our last blog. Just thought I'd update on how we are doing. Things are going great!! We love it up here. Its so beautiful and the peoplle are so nice. Its a bit to quiet at times, but thats ok. Jackson had his 6 month check up last month. He weights 16.6 lbs and is 23 1/2 inches tall. He is in the 90th percentile for height. He is growing like a weed. He is so much fun! We just love him to pieces. (wish he would sleep through the night......)
Last weekend we went to Mantua for conference and visted family. We saw my grandpa and grandma Bale and visted Jareds grandma Halling. Its so nice to see family. Oh and I had a surprise from my sister Missy from Oregon. She was in Utah visiting friends and she came and visited us for a while which was very nice.
Life is going really good. Jared loves his job, we are so blessed.

This is a picture of the spring up in the mountains that feeds the hatchery. Jackson loves to get in his back pack and hick up there with mom and dad.

This was pretty cool. A few days after we got up here they had there annual Candy Drop and hot dog roast. It was so much fun. They had a guy fly over and he drops candy for the kids. Its the coolest thing. Jackson of course could care less about the candy, but he loved watching the plane.

all settled

Well we thought we would join the croud and create a blog site. We thought we needed to let family and friends watch Jackson grow up, cause we aren't so close any more. Well we love it up here in Auburn. Its beautiful!! We are back in a canyon pretty much by our selves. There are green mountains all around us. We have a younger couple behind us that are close to our age and they have three youngsters. They are really nice. Then there is Ed and his wife (Jareds Boss) and Chris and his wife (assis. boss) They are all really nice. There are cows, dogs, fish, hourses, pigs just to name a few. Jackson loves to be outside, we always go see the fish and the cows, and of couse the dogs come and visit. Well here are some pictures of our house and the hatchery.
