Pumpkin Pickin' Fun

It is that time again!  To the pumpkin patch we went.

One whole year has already come and gone since our last visit.

There are so many fun little things to do at this pumpkin patch.  We are choosey, because Colt's 2 year old attention span and Lola's 1 month old hunger pains are both working against the clock.
Image
First order of business is the wagon ride.
Image
Colt had some time to contemplate life on the ride.

And we made it to the petting zoo!
Image
They upped their game this year and had 4 pigs!  Loved them.

He always calls the goats doggies.  When we were walking up to the petting zoo he was yelling, "doggies, doggies!"  Too funny.
Image
I caught him poking the goat.
Image
Okay, John isn't the goat whisperer, he just had a cup of food which made him pretty popular amongst the goats.  At one point he had a couple of goats standing up with their front paws on his shirt.

The only way we can get Colt to smile these days is if we say, "Colt, do not smile!"  What a stinker, huh?
Image
Hello baby blues!
Image
Apparently something was really funny...knee slapping funny.

(Lola's first trip to the pumpkin patch, This picture will have to suffice for her, because I was not about to take her out of the pack in fear of all of the flies and dirt -nervous Britlyn was kicking in- and she was sound asleep.)
I got my composure back.

Colt was ready for pumpkin picking with his "army man" boots on.
Image
John's photography at its finest.
(This pumpkin reminds me of Harry Potter and Cinderella for some reason)
Image
Last year Colt was afraid of the scarecrow, this year he faced it like a champ.

*You are mine pumpkin.  I am going to carve you (insert evil laugh)*
I'm pretty sure that is what was going on in his head with this awesome face he has going on.
Image
After he got that out of the way, he was so happy that he found the perfect pumpkin!
Image
Love his little profile.
Image
*Not pictured, Lola's little pumpkin.  We will update you with pictures of the final carved pumpkins*

So long pumpkin patch.  We will see you again next year.

My Brain Is Too Tired To Think Of A Title

We had a quick trip to Disneyland before baby Lola arrived.  The line for the rockets was finally not too long and John got to take Colt on it (he has been wanting to take him for months now, but Colt and long lines do not mix).  If you can't tell, Colt wasn't so sure the ride was all Dad hyped it up to be.
Image

We had a play date at an indoor play place.  Colt loved all of the fun stuff!  Here he is playing in the giant ball cage.
Image

Our neighbors had a yard sale and John took a peek and found this gem for $20!  Plus we scored a free helmet as a "welcome to the neighborhood" gift.  Awesome, thanks neighbors!
Image
I was making breakfast and went to get Colt to come and eat and he was already outside going on a ride.  I love the fact that he remembered his helmet, safety first.
Image
And one more picture of his "power wheels".  He likes to ride it, just a little bit.
Image

Who knew that my husband was a photographer and nature connoisseur.  We got a new camera and he spent all day photographing nature, Peach and a few of the kids.  It definitely made me laugh.
Here are a few of his masterpieces:

Lola and Nana! Between 3 adults we got the job done...John had Colt duty.

Colt had another play date at this cool place where he got to shoot balls out of this big gun.

Big Lola news!
Her bellybutton is here!  Or in other words her umbilical cord fell off! (I always say her belly button fell off, but I guess that isn't really right, and  could be a little scary if it actually did)
~2 weeks old~
Image

So with that came big girl bath time!
Image
She loved it so much that she had a "blowout" right after her bath and she got to take another one.  I think she plotted that one out.

Here she is ready for her 2 week checkup.
Her stats:
7 lbs. 11 oz. 21-1/4" tall
*she gained a pound and grew 1-14", way to go!*
Image
Miss big eyes. I love them!
Image
Cousin love.  Lola 1 week old, and William (Bret and Taylor's baby) 7 weeks old.

And last, but not least, I am tired.  I opened the cereal box upside down!  I am so annoyed now every time I pour cereal.
