I had thought about starting my blog out doing a recap of my life, but in the interest of hopefully keeping your interest I decided against that. All things considered today was a good day. Noah was good enough to sleep in today, so I got some extra sleep as well. I always intend to get up really early and do a bunch before Noah gets up, but...sometimes intentions don't become reality.
After Noah got up and going Deena and I took him to Mission Trails, which is a regional park with a bunch of hiking, biking, etc. going on. Noah really likes it there, the first time Deena took him they bought a stuffed owl, so Noah calls it "Somewhere special to get an owl". I really like that the visitor center is air conditioned, but Noah likes being outside. While Noah was hanging around a fountain outside we met a nice little boy name Janeau. Deena did a good job of helping Noah talk with Janeau. Noah, as with most autistic children, has trouble playing with other kids. So we have to help him. After about two hours at Mission Trails we made our way back to the ranch.
Noah is on the gluten free, casein free diet, so he essentially have anything with wheat, or milk in it. Now when you pause and consider this, basically we don't get to eat anything that actually tastes good except meat. With much foot dragging I have been experimenting with making soy cheese pizza's for Noah. I learned that my pizza crusts stick to aluminum foil today, a hot sweaty mistake that I won't be making in the future. Noah really likes the pizza's, although I think that it is because he can't remember what good food tastes like.
The rest of the day has been pretty uneventful, so I'll be signing off.
