4th of July-

We went up to the rodeo and fireworks in Snowflake for the 4th of July this year. We had a good time hanging out with friends!

Justin and Kenady. This litte girl loved Justin! She wanted to ride with us over to the rodeo and on the way over this is the conversation she has with Justin: "I love you Justin". "You do? We don't even know each other". "Well, I'm Kenady and we love each other". She also asked him like 10 times from the backseat if he knew where he was going. It was pretty funny. She stayed by his side the whole night.

Our new car- a Subaru Outback! It is a little weird not driving a truck anymore but I think I am adjusting just fine. :) They only thing I don't like is that it has heated seats and Justin thinks it is super funny in the middle of summer to switch mine to high and watch me roast until I figure it out. Other than that I love it! Now I am trying to convince Justin we need kayaks to put on top...

My Mom took me and the Richard's and Harris's all to the Circus. The Greatest Show on Earth is not just a clever name, it was pretty great! We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

June 11-15, 2010

We went to a cabin in Duck Creek (southern Utah) for our family reunion this year. It was so much fun to have everyone together! Here are a few (or a lot) of pictures from our trip in no particular order.

Last summer when we went to Utah Casey Gooch introduced us to the best donuts ever at Lamars. We convinced everyone it was worth the stop for them on the way out of town and they did not disappoint! A great start to our trip!

I had a great idea to bake Min and Eric a cake for their birthday since we don't usually get to spend it with them. My friend Cicily posted about a rainbow cake she made and it turned out so cute I thought I would give it a try. It started out so pretty...

Then I remembered that the kitchen hates me (the feeling is mutual) and everything went downhill from there. The oven kept turning off, then when we finally got it on right it was too hot and caused the cakes colors to run and boil over everywhere. To top it off I forgot to butter the pans. Disaster!

This is not exactly the cake I had in mind. The kids aptly named it "Rainbow Vomit Cake".

It was actually quite tasty though and we ate every last bit of it! Who wants a perfect cake anyway?

Zane learned the art and addiction of styrofoam cup drawing.
