Blueberries for Sophie and Grace

We had a lovely Saturday morning picking blueberries and now our freezer is full of them. Soph and Grace loved having their own buckets to fill and said "kerplank, kerplink, kerplunk" every time they dropped  berries in their pink plastic buckets (Blueberries for Sal is one of our favorites).

Our Grace

My goodness I love this girl. Grace is a complete sweetheart and I can't believe she is almost 18 months old. She is such a happy, easy-going little sweetie and we love having her in our family. She's a great talker and knows lots of words and tries new ones all the time. Sophie is a great teacher and quizzes her on words and animal sounds. Grace loves books, dancing, playing with Sophie, playing outside, playing with cars, babies,and her Dad. She freely gives out hugs and kisses and says hi to everyone we pass in the store. She is also a dream sleeper and always sleeps all night and takes a great nap everyday. We love our Grace!

Our little Sophie is 4!

Sophie just turned 4 on September 5th! I can't believe our little Sophers is 4. She is such a fun, happy, smart, strong-willed, caring, sweet, little character and we love her like crazy. A few days before her birthday we had a fun flamingo party with a bunch of great friends and then we partied all day on her birthday. Her only birthday wishes were for a rainbow umbrella and for Jake to play his saxophone for her. Jake happily granted both wishes and made a little girl very happy.

Super Girls

Sophie wanted to be Super Sophie for Halloween this year, so of course Grace needed to be Super Grace. As super heroes, the girls needed someone to save, so I was a damsel in despair and Jake was a dastardly villain. Sophie had a great time and ran around everywhere with one fist in the air and the other on her hip. Grace's thighs looked incredible in her shiny stretchy pants and Jake's mustaches were awesome. A Happy Halloween was had by all (Grace really did like being Super Grace even though it doesn't look like it in two of these pictures).

Grace Johannah McKay

Baby Grace (as Sophie calls her) joined our family on June 3rd.
She is a happy and healthy baby, weighing in at 9 pounds 4 ounces and 20 1/2 inches.

We are so grateful for Mom and Hailey and all the help they were with Sophie and the baby. They were able to be here for three weeks and we were sad to see them go. Thank you so much for everything! We love you guys!
