Okay, well it has been quite awhile since I have blogged. Since Thanksgiving on it has been a whirlwind. For Thanksgiving Kelby's dad, stepmom, and sister came into town, which was nice because we wouldn't have made it to Texas. I cooked my first turkey dinner, which was all the rave. Ha! No, I did get lots of compliments on the turkey it was delicious. We went to Sun Studio where Elvis first recorded and it was really cool. While Kelby's dad,Kathy, and Alexa went to Graceland, we got most of our Christmas shopping done. We also took them to a Memphis Grizzlies b-ball game, which they are a little better than last year. Alexa, Kelby and I played tons of guitar hero and we played lots of Scene It.

First week of December, again crazy. In the midst of getting ready to leave for Aspen,CO I thought I could have cookie party. Why I don't know?! But it went off without a hitch! Kelby's mom and friends came in that night too. Kelby ran the 1/2 marathon for St. Jude's that weekend and that is partly why they came to see us. So that Saturday, we went to cheer Kelby into the baseball stadium after his 1/2 marathon. That night we hit up Tunica to see if we would have any luck at winning, not such thing happened. Gambling is not really fun when your not winning.
The next week I got ready to leave Aspen. Trying to get as much of the rest of the Christmas shopping done. I left that Thurs. and worked on decorating a house for about a week. I am going to stop here for right now because the Aspen story is long and funny now but not at the time. To continue....

Better Luck Next Time

Hey Everyone - Just wanted to drop in a small note that this month the IUI didn't work. Kelby and I were pretty bummed, seeing that they can't find any reason that we haven't gotten preggo. I am not sure what our next step will be. I meet my new doctor this next week and I quess I will discuss things with her. Thank you for all the prayers and eventually I know God will pick the perfect timing. I will update later with pics on Kelby's 1/2 marathon for St. Jude's and Thanksgiving.

Turkey Baster

This just a little update on the baby situation. This past Saturday morning Kelby and I went to have an ultrasound to see if we were able to have an IUI. The ultrasound tech. said my lining was good and thick and that there were plenty of follicles (eggs). So we were fortunate that the Letrozole had not been thinning out my lining. The next step was for Kelby to "release the boys," and then they got all washed up. It took about hour so in the meantime the nurse told us to grab some breakfast. As soon as we got back we were called in to finish the treatment. It basically was like a pap shmear, as most of you know it isn't the most comfortable thing. Then they grab the syrenge, which contained our little soldiers and squirted it in. So here is hoping that they swam fast and didn't run into any walls, which they shouldn't have because they are placed right where the egg drops.

Main reason I am writing is to keep us in your prayers. Most of the time the IUI doesn't work the first time so I am trying not to get my hopes up. However, lots and lots a prayers might just cheer our little soldiers on. I am sure everybody will hear if this little treatment will wind up working for us. Thanks for any and all prayers in advance.

Ahhh...It Brings Back Memories

Last weekend my soon to be neighbor had her bachelorette party. The place was dowtown Nashville and we had good fun. The first night we arrived we did the norm. checked in the hotel went to dinner and then met Kim's soon to be sister-n-laws at a bar. We kept it pretty tame that night and it is pretty interesting that when you go to most bars in Nashville they are country bars. Okay, I am exagerating a little bit but most bars downtown were country.
The next morning even though we kept it tame we all seemed to be in a slump. However, that did not stop us from going shopping and out to eat. I think mostly it was our sinuses, but like you want to hear about that. Moving on to the good stuff! So, we get back to the hotel after many hours at the mall, get ready and start the lingerie party. It made me want to go buy all new lingerie, hey I got some good Vicki Secret cards that might just help with that. I know Kelby wouldn't complain,ha! Okay sorry for the side track, so after the lingerie party which involved some wine, champagne, and shots that went a long with a game we headed for dinner. At this time everyone is still holdin there own, I think Kim might have been getting a little tipsy but she is as big as my pinky. Then we headed to the "Stage" which is Kim's favorite place to go when she is in Nashville. Yep, it was a country bar that was packed to the brim. In fact we got in the back way which helped get us in a little quicker. We did enjoy the gossip that Kevin Costner was in the same area as us, some that sped up a little of the time while waiting. Finally we all get in and have a great time! Kim got up on stage a couple of times with the band and danced a little, had lots of shots, and enjoyed herself! That's what is all about.
Overall we had a great time, the next morning however was another story. Kim's sisters and I went and had breakfast @ 10 before our supposed check out time. Kim was feeling so hot so we had to change the check out time until later so she could rest and let the good times roll. Finally we got her in the car about 2 and headed home. She was a trooper and when asked if she had a good time even though feeling like crap at the time she said "I had a Great Time."ImageImage

As Promised!!

Image Kelby and I as McCain and Palin, too bad we lost!!

Image Our friend Laura and her hubby as Sumo Wrestlers!

So, my promise post of our Halloween pics was a little belated. Hey , I have been busy what can I say! Any whoo, unfortunately the party we went to most of the adults did not get the memo that they were to dress up. Or was that we didn't get the memo that nobody was going to dress up?! So we made the best of it!

Happy Halloween!!

Hello everyone - I know it has been a long time since I have blogged. There really hasn't been to much going on. A couple of weekends ago I went and visited my friend Jamie in Colorado. She is soon to give birth to Mr. Brodie Truitt (actual Due Date Jan. 4th), to me that is not far away to her it might be an eternity. The next weekend Kelby and I ran in the 5k for Race for a Cure. I had been wanting to run one for awhile and finally got off my keester and did something. It was especially close to my hear because Jamie's mom passed away after fighting a very long battle with breast cancer. Not only did I run in for Deb and all the women out there but also for those who have passed in my life of various cancers. Now I will have to admit that I did not run the entire thing because if you know me well enough I am not a big runner. Kelby however is very good! So I ran about 2 miles of the run, which is pretty good I must say. Kelby ran the entire thing just under 26 minutes, WAY TO GO BABE!

Today, I went and cast my vote, after waiting 3hrs. Yep, that's right 3hrs and I was in my boots with heels so you can only imagine. At least I had some good peeps around me to talk to. I was joking that Kelby would be out of class by the time I got done. Guess what he did! Well, I hope in the end that my vote will have been with the winner of this campaign.

So, that is about it. Like I said not much going on. However, if anything exciting does happen I will let you know.

just born about a month ago, and was so cute!

Image Trey enjoyed his balloon that he received at the

Children's museum.

Image Here is Jak with his first pulled

tooth.

A couple of weeks ago my mom, sister and her kids came into town. It was the first time that my family has come to visit and I was very excited to see them. My nephews and nieces have grown so much and they say the funniest things. Jak the eldest lost his first tooth while visiting. My niece told her mom (my sister) that she "spat on her." That was funny and sad because she got a spanking. My youngest nephew Trey loved barking at the dogs when there was glass between them, however not so much when they got closer. It was an eventful 3 days that they were here. We went to the zoo the first day and were pretty much there all day. Then we took the kids too there very first Hibachi experience. They loved it! The next day we went to the Children's museum and then shopping. I give BIG PROPS to my sister, I only spent a couple of days with the kids and they were me out. That whole following week I was very lazy around the house.

Other news: Kelby has stopped traveling at least till next year.

My fertility doctor moved to Chatanooga, so we will see a new doctor in December.

We have had no luck so far with the Letrozole, however, it is pretty hard to make a baby when your husband travels most of the month. So in Nov. if we are not pregnant we are going to do an ultrasound to how thin or thick my cervix is, which will determine our next move. If it is okay we will go on to do an IUI with Letrozole. If it is not we will have to take a much more assertive step. So we will see as I always say!

Oh I am going to post a couple of pictures from about a month ago, we went to a couple of concerts.

A Look Into The Past Month

Image We had a little going away party for our friends Michael and Erica.

And in true Michael fashion we decided to go karoke one last time.

Image Kelby has become quite the karoking fellow. This is him and Neil.Image My fellow c0-worker Heather joined us for the festivities.Image This girl asked for people to come sing with her. She probably meant

her friends but I felt that I needed to join!!

Image This is Michael and Erica whom we had the party for.

Okay, so I still have to get the picture thing correct. So these events happened opposite of the way they are shown. Our friends Michael and Erica orginally from Wisc. moved about 3 weeks ago to Wyoming. I hope that you guys are enjoying it and we miss you!! This past weekend Kelby and I traveled to Missouri for my cousin Lisa's wedding. I really enjoyed getting to see my cousins because we haven't seen each other in awhile. It was so much fun talking about the past, there were some pretty funny stories. The wedding was really nice and sweet. I wish we would have had more time to hang out.

Blogger's Block

Hello to everyone! It has been a long time since I haven't written. I have new pictures of our numerous karoke nights in the past weekends. However, I am just to lazy tonight to post them. So that will be a later blog. Lately not much too exciting has been going on so this blog will probably more than likely bore you. Sorry!! Any whoo, for those who I don't talk to on a regular basis here is what is going down:
No baby yet! We might just have to wait until Kelby stops traveling to do further procedures. He will stop traveling in October so that is not too far away.

My new job - Super busy and crazy! Good thing is I get paid well and I get to go to Aspen the first week of November.

This week my youngest cousin Lisa is getting married. Yep, another wedding! We will head down there this weekend. I'm praying that I have Monday off, not quite sure yet.

Going crazy - Love my dogs but they are driving me crazy this week. Probably because the rain has come back to Memphis, which means it will rain off and on through the winter. So my poor girls are stuck in the house all day while I am at work. Then when I get home I can take them for a run because of the rain. So it is not their fault! Also, I feel like I can never keep my house clean lately. I am trying to make everything look nice and organized, so in doing that I have things scattered everywhere.

Not as prepared for things as I use to be. Maybe that is a good thing!

Wedding In Paris

Image Finally a none goofy picture of
my hubby and I.
Tomorrow, is our 3rd Anniversary!
Image

My long lost pal Brittney, it was really good to see her.

Image

Jeff and Hayley were there too!

Image

I think Kelby thought this was a sexy look.

And I just don't know what Jeff is doing!

Image

Kelby and Brittney's interpretive dance.

Yes, this past weekend Kelby and I made another trip to Texas. I know!!! We went for his good friend Julie's wedding. I have never been to Paris so that was a first. The trip down there wasn't suppose to be that long. But of course with the luck that Kelby and I have we got stuck in traffic outside of Little Rock. We literally were close to finishing up our trip and were at a total stand still basically for 1 1/2 hr. We moved a grand total of 3 miles!! The hold up was a semi truck which had blown up on the highway. Kelby and I think that the hwy. patrol didn't get there very fast, because we was horrible. So, any whoo back to the wedding. It was really nice, and the reception was a lot of fun. I was good for the most part and drank my water. No more episodes like last time. I let Kelby have his fun and he definitely did. I wish I had a recorder with me so that you could here his giberish. Overall, we had a great time and were happy to get to visit with some friends.

One Wild Night

Image
Image
Image
Image On Saturday we celebrated Emily's bachelorette party. Let me just say that the next morning none of us felt very good. Not only was it Emily's last night as a single gal but it was also her 26th birthday. She just moved to Mempis with her soon to be husband and is now a new friend. So it started out with a few drinks and snacks. Then some games followed by more drinks. So we called us a cab and it was off to Backstreet. This was a new place to Emily and I since we had never been. It was a great place for us because we weren't going to get hit on. Yep, that is right it was a gay bar! We first went to the dragqueen show in the another part of the bar. Then after the show we went into another part which was a huge dance floor. I had alot of fun dancing all night and felt it all day on Sunday plus the drinks that were consumed. In fact I want go into much details but here is a count down what else happened:
  1. I decided at 3:30 in the morning it was time to call a cab.
  2. Got frantic because I couldn't find my camera.
  3. Got home @ 4:00 in the morning.
  4. Took some tylenol, drank some water.
  5. Laid in Bed
  6. Got super duper sick to where my husband stayed up cleaning!!!
  7. Took a shower 6:00.
  8. Laid down on couch and went to sleep until 12:00.
  9. Got up went to get my car.
  10. Searched for phone @ bars we went to.
  11. Called yellowcab, they found my camera.
  12. Went and got my camera
  13. Recouperated the rest of the day.
  14. It will be a long time before I decide to consume that much alcohol in one night.

Short and Sweet

Well, the Letrozole didn't work this month. So no Baby Davis just yet! Kelby has be good about keeping our hopes high. He told me yesterday that at least we know the medicine work. (In earlier blog progestrone 27/6%, whick means I had two eggs drop.) I on the other hand am slowly giving up. Kelby will be out of town for two weeks this month, right when I am to ovulate so no baby making this month. I guess we will just have to wait till next month. Keep us in your prayers especially for me because lately I am just not optimistic about our odds of conceiving.

A Texas Wedding w/ a Pop!

Image
Here is Scout taking a view of the cars passing
by. Kelby and I always get a kick of her beard
because when she is done sticking her head out
the window it stays exactly how you see it.
No Hair Gel For This Gal!

And here is a funny pic of Poppy taking a breath
of fresh air. This really cracked us up, because
her lips were flapping in the air.

Kelby and his dad lighting our firecrackers. They
were pretty wussy but it was still fun.
Image
Alexa, Kelby's little sis had a lot of fun. She of
course like any girl loved the sparkles. Yes, we
spelled our names with them!!
Image
This is Alexa lighting her very first firecracker.
She was pretty nervous but got the hang of it
after a while.

Okay I am really bad about my blogging lately it seems like eveyone is like that lately. Hey, what can we say it is summer. Well, for July 4th weekend Kelby and I were in Abilene for just a short weekend. We stayed with Kelby's dad on the 4th and had great time popping fireworks. I was like a little kid in the candy store. It has been a while since I've popped them. Alexa, Kathy and I first started with sparkles spelling our names and being goofy. Then the boys lit what we thought were going to be pretty big ones. However, they weren't so big I think there might have been like two and the rest were like fountains. Then that Saturday we went to Kelby's cousin Cassie's wedding, she married Ryan Feerer, Jamie Feerer's brother. So I got to visit with Jamie and her husband Knox so that was good. It was a really cute wedding and I wish I had some pictures, however, I didn't charge my battery before we left and my camera was out for the rest of the trip. That evening we picked up my parents who came into town and went out Toddi and Bill's. Alot of Kelby's family were out there and we had a really good time having drinks and popping fireworks again! I also loved holding both of Kelby's newest baby cousins. They are about 3 mo. old a boy and girl from different mommies. They are twelve days apart and were so adorable. Sunday, we went and had breakfast with my parents before they left town and then just relaxed. Monday it was back to Memphis, a 11 hr. drive but it wasn't too bad! The girls were wonderful the whole trip and now are making up for the lack of sleep they had. They played really hard.

Now, a littl update on my body or hormones or eggs, however, you would like to put it. Well, the medicine definitely did it's job. NO WE AREN'T PREGO! However, my doctor gave me a phone call yesterday to fill me in. See before Kelby and I left for Texas I had to get blood drawn. Everytime I ovulate now especially on the meds I have to get my blood taken 7 days later. This tells the doctor a couple of things: 1 that I am ovulating, 2 That my progestrone level this month was 27.6% (that's really high if you didn't know) and 3 My doctor said that with this high level of progestrone that I more than likely dropped two eggs. Yeah!! It just makes me feel good that the meds are working so far. I guess now it is just a waiting game to see if what my friend Jamie Green and the movie Juno call "my eggos are preggo." So pray a whole lot that we found the trick!

Full Timing It

For some time now I have been working two jobs. One of them just for a day and the other the rest of the week. The one day a week is for an Interior Design partnership, that was offer to me after I had already taken the other job. On top of all the not so good news in the past week I finally got some great news.

Today, at work at the Interior Design partnership I was pulled aside by one of the girls from a different part of the partnership. One of the girls that had worked for this partnership had a bought a business with her husband and would no longer be working there. So, since they new I would like a full time job in the Interior Design field they offered a job to me. Not only will i be working on jobsites, doing installtions across the US but I will being paid more and its minutes from the house. I am super pumped! I am sure I am going to learn alot which will eventually lead me to my own business. I will be working for Rhea Crenshaw, she does alot of work starting from ground up.

I hopefully soon will be working towards my licensing as a designer. I will par take in this next spring. I had planned to take it this fall however, I got my paper work in at last minute and made and idiotic mistake. So hopefully I will pay more attention this next time around.

Oh, yes I have also been working on baby bedding called "Olive's Child." I have finished one bedding for a girl and it is for sale @ Jonnie's in Odessa, TX. At this time I am working on my second baby bedding, also for a little girl, it should be finished within this next week. Kelby and I have decided that we need to find a semstress to do the labor and I design. This will help me out a lot since I am going to be busy with my new job and trying to study for my test. So if you know of anyone wanting some really cute custom unique bedding, I am your gal.

Sign Me Up For Letrozole

That's right the unwanted Aunt Flo came to town, and I for last 2 years was not excited about her visit. I wasn't shocked either though! So, I quess it is time to give the Letrozole a try, shoot it won't hurt.

Kelby and I had discussed this right when I started seeing the infertiltiy specialist. We said that we would give Letrozole a try for a couple of months. Well, the last doctors visit we told him what we would like to try first which be Letrozole only. However, now I am just getting really impatient and anxious. I just want to try this month if not I want to do the meds with the IUI (intrauterine insemination) the next month. I know most of you are going to say try it out for a couple of months. But if you understood the frustration and all the ups and downs you go through you would totally understand. If nothing works than we will just go through an adoption agency. Plus, I don't won't to be a raving lunatic on meds for several months.

Yes, I've been told that sometimes when your on Clomid, Letrozole etc. that you can become a little crazy or have a hostile mood swings. I quess this would be natural seeing that both of these meds are making you produce more hormones/progestrone. I am anxious to see how it will affect myself. Will I be physco, mental or just a plain b****?! Hopefully for Kelby's sake I will not be effected by this medication. If so everyone who knows my husband, he always will flat out tell you the truth. If this happens everyone be on the look out for a phone call for Kelby needing a place to sleep.

Trip to Tejas

Image Image

So, Kelby and I went to Texas and had a great time visiting. We loved that there was no humidity, well except for Dallas. It was really good to see all our friends, we miss them. Most of them have now started their families, so it was neat to meet their newest additions. Oh, and it was really fun getting to perm my husbands hair with my mom. Yep, it was pretty curly but it has lost most of it now. But he now has some great volume As I went to Mckinney for the rest of my week, Kelby had is mancation (see his blogs for pics.) These are pics of my niece and nephews who live in McKinney. I finally got to see Jak play t-ball and was really good. He didn't have to use the "t" to hit all the balls. And he also got 2 outs on first, to get him the game ball for that night. Actually most of the team got game balls, but an Aunt's got to brag right!!! The bottom to picks are of the middle sister Sadie. She is definitely a Diva, but kind of turning shy now to other people. Trey is the sweetest baby he loves to cuddle, may favorite part was gettin him to sleep when it was nap time. Well, see Kelby's blog I am sure that he will post pictures from the Mancation.

Looking Good

Hey, everyone this is going to be pretty short and sweet. On Weds. Kelby and I went to my doctor at the infertilty place. According to the test they ran two weeks ago everything is fine. My eggs look healthy and I am producing the right amount. Pretty much the decision was left for Kelby and I to decide what we wanted to do. I think for right now we will just be taking the drug Letrozole starting next month. I can't start at this point yet because it was too late for this month. So, if Kelby and I do not get pregnant this month then we will start the pills.

I am sure many of you might not want to know this but I am going tell you any way. I have what we call (meaning the doctors) a tilted cervix. Bascially it is not straight like most people. So I ask Dr. Murray which way is best way to help Kelby's little boys and girls inside the cervix. To my surprise, not really Kelby's, he told me that I need to lay flat on my stomache for 10 min and then on back. For most of you women who are not tilted they tell you to prop your butt in the air and stick your legs up. Well, this is has obviously not worked for Kelby and I. So maybe this new way might just be the trick. So, keep the prayers going hopefully in a couple of weeks we will get the answer we've long awaited. Love ya, and thanks for all the prayers so far!!

Infertile Myrtle?!

Hi There! Well, if I was a good wife and read my husband's blog on a day to day basis, I would have known that he informed everyone of our troubles. Yes, for 2 long years of baby making we are finally going to an Infertility Specialist. It kind of makes me feel a little relief knowing that these guys make babies on a daily basis.

So far Kelby and I check out A-okay! About a week ago on Friday, I had my ovaries skoped out with the ultrasound machine. It was pretty interesting to say the least. I have always wondered what they really look like. And the pictures in the books are pretty precise. The ultrasound techs seemed to say they thought everything looked good. I had fourteen eggs in my left and eight in my right. So my biological clock is ticking at the right pace. However, we are not sure if all my eggs looked good. They also drew some blood, I am not quite sure for what but I am sure it will tell us something.

Kelby and I are still out of town in Texas but I have an appointment Weds. when we are back. I am ready to hear what our next step will be. I think it is pretty much up to us, we just need to let the doctor know and I am sure he will tell us whether we should go further. I think the next step for us will be IUI. This basically the turkey baster way to make a baby no sex involved. However, we will probably have to wait till next month to do so.

I will keep you in touch with what is going on as far as procedures etc. Keep up all the prayers because we definitely need them.

Have you Ever Been To Seattle...

Have you ever been to Seattle....well I feel like I live there. I now completely understand why Seattle has a high suicide rate. Since Kelby and I have lived here in Memphis it seems that it has been raining non stop. Now, most Texans wouldn't complain about the rain, however, just come live in Memphis for a little while. Kelby and I have found it extremely boring when it rains. You just can't have as much fun, there is only so much you can do. It really stinks when it rains on the weekends, Kelby and I usually pick up the house and work outside but not when it's raining. There is only so much house work you can do while it is raining, plus who wants to do house work the entire time. We all (including our dogs) get a little cabin fever after too long. It is raining right now as we speak, and I don't mean a little sprinkle here and there, I mean down pour. So this story leads to me being extremely excited to go home to Texas for a week. Hopefully the rain will not follow us there!

That's right were headed home and I can't wait! Don't get me wrong I love Memphis but my job is making me crazy, plus we all need a break. We will be headed towards Abilene probably for Sat. and some of Sun. Then we will go to Midland/Odessa where I will stay most of the week. Kelby will leave on Weds. heading back towards Dallas. He is going to go fishing with his boys from college. I will be headed to Mckinney on Fri. to visit my sister's family. I can't wait to see how much my niece and nephews have grown. Overall, I wish I could be there at the snap of my fingers.

My Hubby Took The Camera

Image Jamie, Brent and I getting ready to make the
run back down on our last day!
Image Here are the Lady Pro Skiiers and Snowboarders!

Image This past Feb. we planned a ski trip with our
friends Brent and Jamie. They invited their
cousins who also live in Memphis Russell and
Jennifer and then their other cousins. We had
a wonderful time and great skiing the whole
weekend. Our name for the trip was Chuwenicdav.
which stand for all of our last names.

Image Here is the other pooch in our lives. She was
a rescue and is sweet as she can be, but very
onrey(is that how you spell that). Her name
is Poppy.

Image When we first moved here we would go bowling
alot with our friends. They are from Wisc. and
have their own balls and as you can see gloves.
The glove was my good luck charm, I bowled
pretty good with it. However, that was the only
night it brought me any luck.

Image Chase, Bill and Kelby shooting their new guns!
We had a shooting competition, I must say I did pretty well.

Image Here is our fav. pic of Scout

Yes, that's right Kelby took the camera! He uses it to take many pictures of his travels. So, I would be showing you more updated pictures but that is just not going to happen. I wanted to post pictures of some of the pictures from this past weekend. Here in Memphis they have a three day concert go on with about thirty bands called none other than Mempis In May. The first night we went we saw Fly Leaf, Johnny Lang, Sheryl Crow and peeked in on a couple of shows. However, let me just tell you since I can't show pics, that we were completely drenched. It always rains on Memphis In May at least one day, so even with our galoshes and rain ponchos we still were soaked to the bone. The next day we went we saw Colby Caliat, with a completely annoying guy in front of us, I wish you could have seen our faces. We were so...mad! Next after her was Arrested Developement which was really fun to dance too! Others that we heard or saw were Simple Plan,Seether and Santana. Unfortunatly we didn't make it to the third day, Aretha Franklin, Fergie and Black Crowes were on. Kelby had already left town and I was on my own, which you don't go by yourself downtown Memphis. Any whoo, I am posting pictures of this past year, just so your up to date on the Davis'.
