Okay enough, I am ready for my bottle and bed!

Lincoln had an awesome Halloween.
We unfortunately missed our Trunk of Treats
because we were just getting back in town from visiting family in Longview.
So we had to find some way to wear our costume.
He was an Elephant if you can't tell, by far the cutest I have ever seen.
We went to my friend Sarah's kiddie Halloween party, he did rather well
but fell asleep on daddy as we walked out.
He then woke up just in time to go get his special treat from our friends the Russells.
He got a Memphis tiger stuffed animal and Tiger pj's.
He is going to be Tiger ready for the basketball games.
Next, we walked down our street and visited our fun neighbor Duane.
Him and his partner always decorate their house really neat for Halloween.
Lastly, we went to see the Britts so they could see him in full costume.
And then we took more pics and went to bed.
I think overall he enjoyed his first Halloween.

Lincoln started on cereal (striped bib pictures 1st day). He loved it and wanted more. Note: crying picture is him wanting more.  He wanted to grab his spoon hence the gagging picture. The last three pics are of trying carrots. He loves his food and we yet to find something he doesn't like.  We have now started on sweet potatoes, all made per his domesticated momma.  I actually have enjoyed making it, it is kind of fun.

Beautiful Valley of Napa

We had an absolute fabulous time in Napa.  After I got home it took a week to get back into the groove again.
It started off with pedicures and champagne as soon as we entered Napa.  Ahh...glorious pedicures how I miss you!  Next we went to our home that we rented for the weekend dropped off our bags and headed out.  We ate at this delicious little Mexican food place.  It was alot like La Tortugas in Germantown, yum, yum.  Then we hit the grocery store for much needed groceries. That night we spent sipping, talking and hanging out in the hot tub.
The next day was our 6hr limo wine tour.  Our first stop was Dariush ( this was probably our fav), where we did wine tastings and ate pistachio's.  I actually brought a bottle of there Dual wine home for a special night for Kelby and I.  Next we went to Sterling and road the gondola up to where they actually make the wines.  We then hit up Frank Family who is well known for there champagnes, which they were delicious.  Lastly we were starving by now we went to V. Sattui, where we grab wonderful food and did a wine tasting there as well.  It was a long day but awesome. That night Jamie cooked pasta and we sat out on our pation enjoying the awesome weather and food.
Saturday, we didn't really have anything planned. We thought we would go shopping instead we did the opposite.  Cassidi's sister told us of a restaraunt witht the best view of Napa.  Auberge du Soleil, and yes it was a wonderful view and great food.  Well, we wound up staying there for 4-5 hours.  What were we doing? Hanging out in the bar watching the Texas/UCLA football game. Sad to say we lost but we did get a free dessert.  I think they liked us! What can I say we are a bunch of fun girls! Plus, we all had on matching shirts that Cassidi had made.
Lastly on Sunday we drove into San Francisco.  What a great and very hilly city! We decided to go down to Fisherman's Wharf.  We mainly walked around, shopped a little at Ghiradelli, saw the sea lions at Pier 39 and ate.  Then it was time to get me to the airport for my red eye flight, yuck! Boo...
It was such a wonderful time to get with the girls.  I miss seeing and hanging out with them everyday like college.  I had a blast girls and can't wait for next year.

Our 4mo Litte Man, first day of day school.

My how time flies by.
I can't believe our little man is now 4 months old.
He is gaining so much personality and talks constantly.
On Sept. 7th he started his first day at day school.
All the women just love him and say he is the best baby.
He is the only boy in his class which I find odd seeing that most of the
girls I knew having babies were all boys.
Well at least he has his pick of ladies!
As of right now this is what he is up to:
Has figured out what his hands are for. They are constantly in his mouth.
Lots of Drooling
Trying to master flipping from his back to tummy.  He figured out tummy to back real quick.
Loves to talk. Hmmm...I think he got that from his grandma's and aunt.
Giggling (My personal fav)
He is growing so much. Not sure how much yet. We go to the doctor in a week.
I can't wait to see how big he is and hopefully we will start cereal.

Daddy and Lincoln in NOLA on the Natchez Steamboat

Lincoln has now become a state traveler.  The first two weeks of August we traveled to many places. Some that we have been to and some that we hadn't.
These are the places Lincoln visited:
New Orleans - ate beignets, sipped on frozen coffee, strolled the Bourbon St. and Garden District
Myrtle Beach - didn't do much here, we shopped around that is about it
Charleston - walked around Historic Charleston, shopped a  little
Atlanta- visited our friends from England, tried out sofa at Room and Board, and shopped IKEA
It wasn't easy but we did. He did pretty good for the most part.

During our travels Lincoln celebrated 3mo.  During this time has had many first and here they are:

Found his foot with his hand
Drooling
Teething
Figuring out how his hands work
Starting to cackle
Very interested in books
Started sitting in his Bumbo
Flew to Myrtle Beach

Yay, Lincoln!

Little Boy & His Bear

Image

Lincoln loves his bear.  I decided for him that the bear would be called Fozzy.
Why Fozzy? I don't know I just thought it was cute.
So this is by far the #1 toy for Lincoln.
He loves to talk to him and smile at him, he is even starting to grab him.
Fozzy is usually on one of the shelves closest to Lincoln's crib.
My favorite thing is when he is cranky from a nap, Fozzy saves the day.
All he has to do is look up and there is Fozzy the Bear sitting on the shelf.
Lately Fozzy hasn't made it back onto the shelf, he is just too important. Sophie the Giraffe has now taken his place.

It's 11pm and I am up, It's Random Thoughts Time...

Right now my child is sleeping and I am anticipating him waking up for feeding time. I got some pretty descent rest last night unlike my husband who took care of Lincoln so I am not tired just yet.  I have lots on my brain of random things. You could probably care less about most of the things but I am going to type them anyway.  Maybe I can mildly entertain you!!

1. Lincoln has fallen backwards on the whole sleeping bit. The past two weeks since we got back from Texas have not gone so well.  Love my little man but sure would like him to go back to sleeping at least 4hrs. in the night.
2.  Lincoln is 2mo. old and had shots today.  He did pretty well or that is at least what we thought.
3. Happy...that my husband bought some sod for our desert part of the backyard. I can't wait until it takes to the yard.  Hopefully this will be the beginnings of making our enormous backyard pretty.  Also, I hope that it will diminish the massive dirt flow into our home because of Scout and Poppy.
4. My toes are going numb right now.
5. Kelby is planning something for our anniversary and I keep trying to get him to tell me. I love surprises and I really don't want to find out.  It sure is fun seeing if he will slip up!
6. We are going to Myrtle Beach and Charleston soon.  It has been a long time since I have been there.  I can't wait to be by the ocean and walk all around cute Charleston.
7.  I have lost most of my baby weight, just need to light a fire under me and tone up.
8.  Super excited about my college buddy coming in town for a while. We are definitely hitting up Raifford's it is a Green Family must.
9.  Really ready to hear from my clients.  We are working on rearranging existing furniture and some new furniture pieces.  I have sent them plenty of emails and they have yet to answer.  However, they did tell me they weren't in any rush,  But I am! Momma needs a paycheck!ha
10. Lastly me and my college girlfriends are going on a trip for two of their 30th birthdays (I have already surpassed 30).  I can't say where we are going because one of them blogs....so sorry Kelly you will just have to wait until Sept.

Hope you enjoyed "the dish." Tune in next time.

Texas Time

Okay, so I went on a little blog hiatus because I got really mad that I couldn't post pictures. Hopefully, I've figured all that out now. All of these photos are from our recent trip to Texas. There were really so many pictures, but here are just a few from the trip. We first went to Abilene, Kelby's hometown, where his mom's friends threw me a shower. These are a couple of fave's from the Abilene shower.

Image
Check out this great shirt that Lincoln got. His cousins, Parker, Cash, and Grace got him a Run DMC shirt! He also got some great pearl snap shirts from the grandparents and a pair of spurs from his uncle!

Image
This is another gift, the sock elephant...not to be confused with the sock monkey!

After the shower in Abilene, I made my way back to my hometown, Odessa, for another shower, this time thrown by some of mine and my mom's friends. While we were there, Lincoln got to meet some of his other cousins.

Image
Lincoln got to hang out with Sadie, who is 5, Jak (who Lincoln already met in Memphis) who is 7, and Trey, who is 3. He was really in awe of his cousins, and a little overwhelmed at times.
Image
He has really started smiling and cooing a lot. Here he is with my mom, MeMe. He loved smiling at his MeMe and PaPa a lot.
This last pic is his 4th of July shot.  This is Lincoln with Kelby's cousin Cassie.  I really like this pic of them.

Arghh...an update

Okay, I am really getting peaved at the new update for blogspot.  As you can tell below that there are no pictures! When I did the draft the pictures were there and now they are not.  Why am I having trouble?! Anybody have some ideas on getting these pictures posted?  I am all ears.
Meanwhile this is what we have been up to:
My sister and nephew came to visit for a few days.
Lincoln's grandpa, grandma, and Auntie Alexa came to visit. We did lots of shopping! Mommy got some new clothes for her birthday except the bottoms are a little bigger size than I would like.
However, I got some really cute gold shorts, little sailor top and ruffle pink tank from Anthropologie (my absolute most fav store). I got another top, cute gold bracelets, and black shorts from Nanna Repub.
We ate good food, drank some good wine, and had wonderful shakes from Ben & Jerry's.
We also tried church, we had to leave early though.  Lincoln had a meltdown.
This past week:
We rested!!
I painted another coat on our front door now I just have the other two doors to do.
Touched up and hung up Lincoln's awesome art from our friend Laura.
(she just found out a few weeks ago that she is having twins!)
Took Lincoln on his first walk in the BOB, love it!
Lincoln went to his first Italian Fest party that our friends Lauren and Jamie threw.  He was super good and slept great that night.
On Sunday we went to our new friend Carter Rodwell for his Sip n' See. Carter is 4 days younger than Lincoln.  His mommy and I met through Jr. League.
Then mommy went to her clients house to start getting back to work.
(No I am not crazy! I am feeling good and can always tote my little man around while working)
Finally, Lincoln slept 5 hours last night before his next feeding! This was awesome.

It's Picture Time!

Image
Yay! We finally have pictures posted. Okay, above is of course myself and this is how I was for like 3hrs constantly on the phone either talking or texting. In fact I finally had to stop answering so that I could answer the 5 billion questions they ask you. To be honest it was kind of nice having a break from the phone, I am sure the nurse was grateful that I got off for awhile.
Image
Relieved that Kelby made it in time, in fact he made it 6hrs before Lincoln's big arrival. This was taken around 5ish, finally I could try to rest a little. I don't recommend your husband traveling at this time if he can help. I was a huge stress ball in my shoulders and neck.
Image
"I am here, but where is here!" Just a few minutes after he was deliered. Time of birth 10:30. The time really seemed to fly by for me even though it was 14hrs.
Image
"okay, I am really not sure of this place." Isn't he the cutest! Love those cheeks.

Hope you enjoyed the start of many pictures to follow. Love Hayley,Kelby,Scout and Kelby
