About me
I am a writer and mom of two. I co-parent two teens, and raise our rescue dog, who hails from Mexico City, Jengibre (hen-he-brey).
I received my MFA in Creative Writing, Nonfiction, from Antioch University LA in 2022, and was the recipient of the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) Intro Journals Project Award in Creative Nonfiction the same year, for an excerpt from my documentary style book “Yes/No: Conversations with My Son (working title). My work has appeared in Rejection Letters, MER (Mom Egg Review), HerStry, The Manifest Station, The Calendula Review (Issue 1), Tampa Review (Issue 63/64), Today’s Parent and others.
As a transplant Torontonian, I consider myself a settler on indigenous land, T’karonto on Turtle Island. Scarborough is situated on the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, Anishnabeg, Chippewa, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples.
