SNOW DAY!

SO... a week ago, we had a HUGE storm come through Boise.  It was so much fun. The Kids had their first SNOW DAY!!  Here is what we did.....

 Snowman Pancakes of course!

Ben decided that this would be his attire for the day..... we had a hard time rounding up all the gear, it was spread between several boxes. I told him though we could probably do a little better than that!

 So serious about the snow....

 Love these little stinkers!

We found all the gear except for Nates gloves! haha! Unfortunately he got stuck with Jakes. It definitely posed some major challenges in the snowball making department, but other than that he didn't seem to mind.

Halloweeny...

Since Halloween was on a Sunday this year, we had sort of a weekend celebration of Halloween.  Friday night Jake and I went to a crazy costume party... Saturday, the kids went Trunk or Treating at the church, and Sunday was pretty low key, the kids had their Primary Program, and even tho it was on Halloween, it all went very well. It was so much fun to see Gracie, Ben and Natey on the stand.  Here are some pics from Trunk or Treating.  Gracie was a "beautiful butterfly," Ben was a Vampire Spider, Natey was a Stink Bug (his own choice, my personal favorite of the night) and Julia was our little Pumpkin.  The kids all came up with their own costumes this year, we wanted to try homeade as much as we could. It was so much fun, but SO much work.  I don't think there is such thing as "throwing a costume together!" Oh Well...we had so much fun, and the kids made a haul, so they were super happy about that.  Happy Late Halloween!

Holy Cow this little girl is FINALLY walking... Yes I know that she is 17 months old. She is the most stubborn child yet.. How that is possible I have no idea! =) We will say.."Julia, Walk."  Her response...."No." She is the funniest little stink. She couldn't be coxed, bribed, pushed... nothing! She was going to walk when she wanted to. Finally after months of stubbornness she has decided she wants to give it a try.  Funny little girl.

Where has all the posting gone!

Well.... I owe this blog a huge make over... seeing the picture of Julia on the cover is crazy to me how outdated it is!!  In the mean time, I have been a little busy with a few other things! hahahaha...  One of those things is...drum...roll...please.... I started my photography buisness!! I am so excited about this new adventure, I don't know how to quite put it into words...but if you want to check it out go to www.kateperkesphotography.blogspot.com. It is just getting underway, I have a million things I have to do still, but the fact of the matter is, I am doing it... and its crazy...but oh such a dream come true!

Happy Birthday Naters...

Image
This little guy just turned 4! He has grown so much in the last few months, I can't believe how fast 4 years has gone. Nate had such a fun fun birthday. We went for a morning bike ride down the green belt. Then we had lunch at Red Robin. Then we went to Monkey Business ( a giant play place for kiddos) Then we had a rockin party.... What a day.....Image

Matt and Sarah's Wedding...

Nate was so kind to let me tag along on his recent wedding shoot. I was privileged to learn volumes from this one experience. Shooting a wedding is so exciting and the energy is wonderful, because you have this beautiful, in-love couple, and you get to capture their first moments together. Here is a few snip-its of their day, Thanks Nate! (check out Nate's blog at perkesphotography.blogspot.com)
