2 Years!

I can't believe how fast 2 years has gone! Who would have ever thought we would already have a family! We have so much fun together! This year has obviously been a different one with moving in with my parents, having a baby, Dan studying for the bar, and everything else going on. But, we wouldn't have had it any other way. So here's to free slurpees and a low key anniversary!

Happy Birthday Katie! I have had the best time being this girl's 'tutor' this last year. From learning more patience to laughing multiple times every day, I have not regretted spending one minute with Kate. She fills my day with laughs, fun, and excitement. I love everything about her! Thanks for being my buddy! 

4th of July

The 4th of July is my favorite of all the holidays. I love that there is no pressure to do anything fancy or big. Its just about summer and hanging out! We got to spend time with both our families today. The best part of the whole day was Dan emerged from studying and played outside with us for a little while!

This month was filled with more experiencing that remembering to write down what you accomplished! But boy did we have lots of fun. You are starting to be incredibly busy and make mom and dad laugh all the time. Its hard to believe how "big" you are getting, but it is so awesome to see everything you are learning. Love you little one!

The Museum of Natural Curiosity

Nora and I got to go to the Museum of Natural Curiosity. It was an absolute zoo! There were so many people and it was just crazy! We went down with Kate, Emma, and Jane. Luckily they were there because I would not have been able to handle Kate & Nora. In each section there was a baby play area that was great. We had an awesome time and will for sure go back when its less crowded!

Happy Birthday Ollie!

We got to go up to Logan to celebrate Ollie's first birthday! We sure do love our cousin. Nora and Ollie are having more and more fun together. Its so fun seeing these two cousins grow up and interact more and more together. Happy Birthday Ollie!

The Zoo!

We got to go to the zoo with our Weese cousins and Grandma and Grandpa. Its always fun being with Heather and those boys. Nora and Ollie are just starting to react to each other. Max is so cute with Nora and is always so sweet to her. So glad we got to hang out with them and see the animals, particularly the new lions that the zoo just got! 

Kate's Dance Recital

Words can not express how much I love this girl! Kate had her dance recital today and I was so happy to be able to go. She is in a class with several other kids who have disabilities. They get to perform every year at a Spring Concert. I have been lucky enough to take Kate to class a few times and seeing these kids have so much fun and loving what they are doing is the best part of my week. She danced so beautifully on stage and I loved being able to go back and give her a big hug. I love spending time with her every week and listening to her. She makes me laugh so many times a day. I absolutely love having this girl in our life! 

LAW SCHOOL GRADUATION!!

I am so proud of Dan today! He has worked so hard these last three years. These last three years have been quite the ride. From starting law school single, getting married, having a baby, director of the street law clinic, being on the SBA, named Pro bono Student of the Year, two judicial clerkships, a public defender internship, working random jobs and law related jobs, having to quit a job because of crazy boss, finding a firm he loves working at, and so many other things. 

Dan has worked so hard these last 3 years. He has put in countless hours at school and at home. He has been able to mange his school and work commitments and still found time to be an amazing husband and father. I am so proud of everything he has accomplished. He is truly amazing. 

When people ask me what kind of lawyer Dan wants to be, I regularly joke "the poor kind." Dan finds so much enjoyment in being in court, in front of a judge and jury. He loves helping those who don't always have someone watching out for them. Going into criminal and immigration are the best fit for him. He loves feeling like he is making a difference. I'm so proud of him! Love my JD! 

Polar Plunge

Every year we get to watch all the grand kids do the polar plunge. This year Nora got to participate. The grand kids are always so fun to watch. I'm always surprised that Madeline is the first one in and the last one out. The pool was about 46 degrees. Nora LOVED it. Granted, she was only in the top of 3 inches, but she would have stayed in longer! She got her $1 from Grandpa!

Nora ~ 9 Months Old

Goes from sitting to crawling and back to sitting

Gets annoyed and screams when people are eating and she is not

This girl never stops moving. She is always wondering what is around the corner, what is in the drawer, where everything is. Its very amusing to watch her explore and play. She is so responsive to everything. She makes us laugh all the time. She amazes us every day with her progress and sassy little personality.
