Back to school after Quarantine

American Leadership Academy is such a great school. We were one of the first schools to go back. There was definitely people who thought we were not wise to go out into the world again, but we were ready. The kids were over with being stuck in the house without their friends since March 17th.

Kyle turns 37!

Kyle has never been a fan of taking pictures, as you can see it is pretty evident in the picture with him and I. He looks pretty annoyed. ;) We were able to go out to MOD Pizza before I had to go to work. Hunter was at work, so he was unable to make the special dinner, but the rest of us were able to make it happen. Landon and I were able to take Kyle to the Alamo theaters for his birthday on a different night as well,  where they serve dinner while you watch a movie. It was just the three of us and was pretty special . Kyle's birthday was celebrated with good food and good times with family. We sure love this man in our lives! He is the most amazing dad and husband ever!

Homeschool on a different level

Landon and I learned about human reproduction today. Good ol' Sex Ed. I made him read out loud to me. It was painful for him at first, but then he man-ed up and secretly I think he found it super fascinating and miraculous. We took turns reading and it was cool learning together.

Today I finally got my dream job!

Today is a very memorable day! It marks the day that I finally landed my dream job as a labor and delivery nurse! Ever since I started having children I had a strong desire to become a labor and delivery nurse. I had a terrible nurse when I was in labor with Hunter and a terrible nurse what's Joseline and then an awesome set of nurses with Jade and Landon delivery. I decided I wanted to be that awesome nurse for so many other people to help bring sweet children of our heavenly father into this world through my profession. I didn't have much College behind me all of just two classes. So at the age of 31 I went back to school. I had two years of prerequisites and then two years in the nursing program and I did the nursing program at the same time I was going to NAU online to get my bachelor's degree. So I got my RN license and my bachelor's degree within two-and-a-half years. None of this is any small feet when you have four children and a husband, a house to keep up on, and calling that church. But I did it and I am here to say that I lived through it and it will all be worth it! I've applied for labor and delivery I would say about six times and have gotten denied. I was able to finally get my first interview for a labor and delivery position yesterday. I found out today that I got the job! It is extremely competitive and I'm extremely grateful, and there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that the Lord's hand was not there the entire time guiding me through each step. I am so grateful for a living heavenly father who hears and answers prayers and in his time allows prayers to be answered. I start on May 17th working the night shift 3 days a week at the same hospital that I worked at for the past year, Banner Desert Medical Center. I am super excited especially because it is a level 1 trauma and a level 3 Hospital which means we see the most critical and intense stuff. It will be such great opportunities to learn and I am so ready and looking forward to it! This is only in 3 and 1/2 weeks! I seriously cannot wait!! Tonight we celebrated quarantine Style by getting Cafe Rio takeout and going to the temple and setting up table and chairs to eat dinner at Sunset with her family. We have been in quarantine for almost 2 months and it has been crazy, but I am still so grateful that we were able to celebrate in her own way tonight. And there's no better way than to celebrate in the presence of the Lord holy house right there.

Joey's Quarantined 9th (Golden) birthday

This was not the typical birthday celebration for a 9 year old girl, but it will be one that Joslyn remembers forever.
Because of the coronavirus, Jo couldn't have a friend party, but we still tried to make the day extra special for this sweet little 9 year old. She started the day off with an Easter egg hunt in the front 2 rooms where she found 9 eggs hidden by her siblings. In each egg there were 9 different activities that we were going to do that day. The first activity was a scavenger hunt with 9 clues to find her 1st of 9 birthday gifts. It was a smart watch which she has been wanting so bad. The rest of the activities were: make-up time with the girls, nails, family movie in the hot tub, birthday science experiment, bike ride, baking, games and snuggle time. Simple, but fun-filled to the brim! We even had to flow things over into the next day. We all enjoyed celebrating this special day with Jo!
Turning 9 on April 9th... golden. She had golden foods for all meals all day. Butterscotch bundt cake for breakfast, grilled cheese for lunch, and homemade macaroni and cheese with pineapple for dinner.
It is hard to believe that my baby Joey is 9 already! It seems like yesterday that I was holding her cuteness and chubby cheeks in my arms for the first time.
Joslyn loves being with Jade in all they do from playing on the tramp, drawing, swimming in the hot tub for hours on end, watching shows together, sleeping together just about every night, baking, nails, bike rides, dog walks, getting the mail, EVERYTHING  together. They are the best of friends and it truly makes me the happiest mom ever knowing that they have each other even more than me with my sister. It is so very sweet! Jo also still loves her blankie and smells it while sucking her fingers. We have tried to encourage her to stop with no success.  She also is so willing to help me and her dad any time and is so precise and efficient.  She does well in school and played football with the boys every recess. She dominated in track as a super speedy competitor. In tumbling, conquered a round-off double back hand spring. Quite the overall athlete. While she can be fierce she is also the kindest, most loyal, sensitive to others feelings, willing to serve, beautiful girl. We sure love her! She is such a blessing in our family!

Jo's family party

Sunce it was just the 6 of us there to sing to Joey and eat cupcakes and do presents with her, we made it extra exciting with the obnoxious singing and goofiness with wearing the gifts.

Robinson"s Christmas 2007

So, here we go... We are on the ban wagon of the bloggin world! So, thanks for inspiring me, (Chay and Meghan)!
The picture above is obviously at Christmas time. It is Christmas Eve at my parents, to be exact and is Landon's first Christmas. We had such a wonderful Christmas and we feel so very lucky to have both Kyle's family and my family here, both living within 10 minutes of us!

Snow!!!

We started the year off, January 1st, with a trip to the snow, (Flagstaff). It is about a two and a half hour drive. The kids did great in the car without even stopping once! Hunter had seen the snow before, but he was too young to remember. Of course this was Landon's first time in the snow as well! And for that matter Kyle's first time seeing the snow too, since he's only lived in hot places like Vegas and AZ. Just kidding, but his snow exposure has seriously been limited. I would say that mine has been limited too, but I lived in South Dakota for three years, (three years way too long, I might add) and snow lasted about six months out of the year there and was way too flippin cold!!! But anyways, the newness of this snow experience made for a fun, but very cold time for us all. When we first got there, Hunter was so intrigued by the snow that he just wanted to lay in it and eat it. It didn't take long, since we had such suitable winter clothing, that Hunter got a little frost bite on his feet. Luckily our adventure didn't have to end there, because I brought a fresh and dry pair of socks and shoes for him. Kyle and Hunter had a wonderful time sledding down a super small hill, while Landon and I cuddled up together and watched. After awhile of playing, we were more than ready to get back to the warmness of home.
