Lights at Temple Square

One of our family Christmas traditions is going to the lights at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. We usually have a whole crew of family with us, but this year we just went with us. It was a cold night, but the spirit of Christmas was so strong around us with the beautiful lights, and the Temple in the background that we stayed nice and warm. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect night out as a family!ImageUs at the lights

Christmas carnival

Every year, our work does a little Holiday carnival for the kids to come to. This year, Peyton invited her friend Boston to come with us. They decorated cookies, got thier faces painted, and hit the pinata. When we were coming home, it started to snow.

Letter from Santa!

Peyton decided she needed to write Santa a letter last week. She was really excited to color a picture for him and make deer food for all the reindeer. She actually put a lot of time into all the envelopes she filled with things Santa would need. She helped Blake write a letter too. We were so excited to receive a letter back from the North Pole this week. Santa said thank you for all her notes and said they were both on the Nice list (Blake can be questionable sometimes)!

Train ride to the North Pole

Kris' mom (we call her Keet) found this cute train ride in Lindon. We really weren't sure what to expect, but it was a lot of fun. The family put in railroad track throughout their yard and about 5 other yards. It was awesome. They played Christmas music, showed pictures of Jesus, had tons of decorations, a nativity scene and we even got to visit Santa and his elves at the North Pole.

Peyton's First Dance Recital

Peyton wanted to try out dance this year, so we signed her up through the city for an 8 week class. She loved going to dance, but once she started to learn the dances, she would wave to me, play with her hair and pull her skirt down in front of the mirror. She says she wants to go back to gymnastics. Hey it was worth a shot, but maybe she can be a 3rd generation gymnist.

NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK!!!

I loved, loved, loved the New Kids on the Block when I was growing up, so when I heard they were coming back in concert, I had to go. I bought 2 tickets and Kris graciously said he would go with me. I then entered a contest on the radio, and one 4 more tickets ( I think I was the only one that entered, so I had to win). So Kris, again graciously says you should get some of your girls and go with them. (very sweet way of gettin out of it!) So we did. It was so much fun! I never thought I would be pregnant with my 3rd child and screaming as loudly as I did when I was 12 at the New Kids concert. They were better now then they were then, if that's even possible.

This was the start of the concertImage My favorite then, was Jordan. But after tonight, Donnie did all "The Right Stuff!"

Fun in the First Snow!

We had our first snow on November 5th. Peyton was so excited to go play in it, so we got all bundled up and went to have fun in the snow!

Happy Halloween!

For Halloween, we always get a pumpkin pizza for lunch, then go up to Kris' work for some office trick-or-treating. This year we were grateful that it got warmer as the night got closer. It was aweseom the whole evening. We have the family over for white chicken chili then we head out. This year we went to Kacy and Kera's church building for trunk-or-treating, then we went to all the houses in our neighborhood. Peyton was loving running from house to house and getting tons of candy!

Peyton's Pre- School Halloween Parade

Peyton had a party at school the day before Halloween. She was very excited to ride her jeep to school in her little, fairy costume. The class had a parade, sang a cute, witch song and trick or treated to our cars after school. It was a fun start to a very warm Halloween!!

It's a BOY!!

When it was time for me to go in for my 16 week appointment, the Dr wanted to do an ultrasound to make sure things were on track. Knowing that there was a chance that I could find out what the sex of the baby was, I kept it a secret from Kris so I could possibly surprise him for once. Well everything checked out fine. Then the ultrasound tech said "Are you wanting to know what you're having?" Then I said "It's a boy!" She said "Yep and he's not being shy aboout it." Boys are proud to be boys from day one! There he was just like Blake with his legs wide open for anyone to see that he's definitly all BOY!!
