Wicked Fun!

Image

Last night Spencer and I were able to celebrate our 6th anniversary by going to eat at Outback (so Spencer could watch Gator basketball). It was so yummy! We then went to an amazing Broadway play, WICKED! It was a fabulous night and I am so grateful that I have been married to such an amazing man for the last 6 years.

Party Time!

Today we celebrated Kaylie & Sawyer's birthdays. It was nice being able to do 2 parties in 1.
Kaylie loved having all of her friends over to play, Sawyer just wanted to be held!
The swords & crowns were a total hit with the kids, but not as much as the ring pops!
Sawyer loved eating cake for the first time.
He is strange with food so I had to put some in his mouth to try first.
After getting green frosting all over the place, he was done. My boys hate being dirty.
Kaylie thought because Sawyer got to destroy his cake, she could do the same...so she did!

I had a great time visiting with my friends, I really have the best ones ever!
My kids also have the most awesome little friends.

Is it strange that as I am blogging I can't stop smiling?
You know when things are just that great you can't help but smile?
That's me right now!

Happy Birthday Kaylie Michele!

My baby girl is 5 years old today.

Kaylie Michele

Kaylie is a funny girl.
She loves to laugh and play.
She loves playing outside with her friends and siblings.
Bedtime stories are now something she will not go to sleep without.
Pink is her favorite color.
She loves Lalaloopsy Dolls, Littlest Pet Shop & Barbies.
Kaylie makes me smile every single day.
She is a girl so she can be very dramatic, but she is the funniest little girl ever.
She can be sarcastic like an adult, which is scary.
She has a huge heart.
At 12:46pm on February 3rd I gave birth to my first born.
I can't imagine my life without this girl!
Mommy loves you Boo Boo!

The day Kaylie was born waiting to finish registering!

Splish Splash

The other day my friend Caroline came to hang out and brought her 3 kids. It had been raining all day long and there was finally a break in the rain so we let Kaylie and Aimi Lark get dressed up in their snazzy gear and go splash away! Mali Su finally joined them and it was so fun to watch them play!

My kind of MOM!

I give my kids candy.
We don't eat organic, unless it just tastes good.
I let my kids stay up late on the weekend, sometimes past midnight.
I love TV.
My kids love TV.
I sometimes let my kids watch TV all day on Saturday if it's a lazy day.
Fast food is a weekly deal in our house.
Kaylie's idea of going out to eat is simply McDonalds.
I sometimes swear.
I yell at my kids when they don't listen to me the first 100 times.
Sometimes I have to spank my kids.
I hate dishes and laundry.
I let my laundry pile up sometimes so I have over 4 loads to fold.
Dishes pile up in my sink on a bad day.
I love sleep.
I try to fit a nap into every day.
I have trained my kids to love sleep as much as I do.
I am honest.
I hate being so honest sometimes.
I dislike liars.
I really dislike when I am being lied to.
I didn't have a natural childbirth.
I had 3 c-sections.
I don't like competitive mom's.
I love to save money and get great deals.
I don't think I am a better mom than any other mom.
Correction: I do think I am a better mom than some other mom's.

Am I a good mom?
I think I'm a great mom.
I make mistakes, but try to admit them when I notice them.
I don't worry about keeping up with the "Jone's".
I do what I want to do, not what you want me to do.
I don't think that your way is always the right way.
I don't think that my way is always the right way.
I don't think because I let my kids eat candy and ice cream for dinner I am a bad mom.
I don't think organic is better.
I don't think it's the end of the world if we miss a nap or go to bed late.

I love my family.
I love my four children.
My kids are happy.
I love smiling and laughing.
I love watching my kids smile and laugh.
I love the simple things.
I love hugs and kisses before bedtime.
I love listening to Daddy make up bedtime stories.
I love that my kids want to sleep in my bed.
I love when all 4 kids are in bed in the morning with Mommy & Daddy.
I'm a good mom.
I'm a happy mom, most days.
I am a proud mom, every day.
I love being a wife.
I love being loved by my husband and kids.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Yes I am just now posting about Thanksgiving. The holiday's have just knocked me on my butt this year.
We spent our Thanksgiving vacation in Utah and it was fabulous. Thank you Mom, Ken, and Grandma & Grandpa Hicken for helping us get there. We were so thankful to spend this holiday with my family.
We are thankful for....

Snow!

The Gospel
It's not every day we get to see an LDS Temple, but in Utah I think I saw a total of 4 or 5 on this trip...only got these 3 picture of the Logan, Ogden and Salt Lake Temple. Seeing the Logan Temple for the first time was amazing. I wish this picture did justice to what we actually saw...snow all over, stunning!
What is better than visiting the SLC Temple? Visiting the SLC Temple when the Christmas lights are up, it was absolutely beautiful. While we were there, it snowed the entire time.
