Christmas Outfits

So today the kids wore their Christmas outfits to church, it is wierd to say outfits and not dresses since I am sort of still getting used to having a little boy. The kids looked adorable and I was able to get a few good shots! Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I know I am really looking forward to this new year, hoping it will be even better than last!

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, I know we had a great one. A special thanks to my parents and grandparents for the extra help in making our Christmas super great! I got a new camera & a Wii for the family! I am loving my new camera and the bagillion pictures I can take with it in seconds. The Wii, although it takes time away from cleaning and keeping the house up, is great for our family...it's actually giving us the family time we have been missing lately, we are loving it. I am looking for the Wii fit so I can get my butt back into shape, I am feeling really bad since I had Lucas and I need to get back to my normal size so I can fit into my old clothes. I have nothing to wear lately!

Christmas morning was great, Lucas slept about 10 hours and I woke Imageup and fed him around 8:15am, then we went back to sleep cause the girls weren't up yet. At 9:45am the girls came in shouting "It's Christmastime Mommy!!!" So I sent them back to their rooms so Spencer and I could get up and out there to get ready to take pics. They came out and were so excited with all of their gifts from us & Santa! Kendra got a new "big kid" camera, a Polaroid Digital camera, 8mp., she loves it! Kaylie was overjoyed with her new scooter (which she called a bicycle). Lucas was just really tired and wanted to sleep for a little longer!

For the second year in a row we spent part of our Christmas at Disney World. This year we went to Hollywood Studios (MGM) to see the lights...we met up with Steven, Brenda & Jordan and Kevin & Terri. The girls had fun, but we all wanted to stay a little longer.

Christmas Night

When we got home all of the kids were dressed in their Christmas Eve pj's and setting things up for Santa.

Kendra and Kaylie sprinkled Magical Christmas Dust on our front grass. The glitter was to help Santa see our home and to make sure he didn't forget us. The oats were for the reindeer to guide them to our home.

Christmas Eve Party

Every year so far we have been at Spencer's parent's house for the annual Christmas Eve party. One year I do hope to venture out to California and Nevada for Christmas, but in the meantime, Christmas in Florida is wonderful. I do love being home for Christmas, the thought of travel during this busy time sounds a a little stressful for me, but it would be nice messing up someone elses home instead of mine!

This year we had to put together our own costumes. We set up the assignments for who would play which part in the Nativity play, Kaylie was going to be the Star and Lucas was going to be Baby Jesus...Kendra wasn't with us this year. Kaylie made the most adorable Star, I made her a tutu and and a star for her head...she hated the cosutme, but wore it perfect. Speaking of perfect, Lucas Brock was an awesome Baby Jesus, he was so quiet and great during the whole play. Anwyay, here are some pics...ImageImageImage Image

Kaylie & Baby

I decided to attempt another pillowcase dress for Kaylie this year. This time I had a better idea of what I was doing and my friend, Tracie, came over to sew with me. It was a ton of fun, but I had made Kaylie's dress too big because the instructions, although they were for a 2T, didn't work for my skinny girl. So I let my friend, Amy, borrow that dress for her daughter and made another one for Kaylie...tons of sewing went on at my house this holiday season. After I made her dress I loved it and decided to make one for her baby doll. Image

Grocery Shopping

So last week I needed to go grocery shopping and Kaylie really wanted to go with me. I said ok so she ran into her room and I thought to myself...wow, she is actually going to go get her shoes on like I just told her to. No, she was headed to get her shopping cart to bring it with us. I thought ok, I'll just bring it and put it in the car, no big deal. Big deal...I decided it would be cute since she wanted to bring it in so bad. It was adorable, she acted like such a big girl...throwing stuff (junk food) in her cart. I let her buy everything she put in it, except this $10 stuffed animal...that went back!

Say Cheese and more....

Yep, my little Boy has started smiling...he is so sweet! I love just sitting there watching him and then you talk a little sweet and touch his cheeks and he gives you the most precious smile ever.

Our friend, Kathy, came over the other day to cut mine & Spencer's hair. Kaylie decided she too wanted a hair cut...so she sat in the chair and changed her mind, but of course I had to snap a couple cute shots.Image

There is a town near us called Celebration, actually both of my children were born at the hospital there. During Christmastime they have some fun family things going on and they also have snowfall nightly (soap or something like that). The kids love it and it was a lot of fun.ImageImageImage

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Well I had a great Thanksgiving today, it's always a little bitter sweet since I have a great time, but I really miss being with my family in California. We went to Spencer's parents house like always and brought a couple friends along with us, Troy & Brooke and Andrew & Kathy. It was great having them there with us and I'm glad they were able to spend the holiday with us since their families are out west. The food was great, but I guess that's pretty normal for this group!
I feel this year with the economy being where it is and times being extra tough, especially being in a construction business I have a lot to be thankful for. Some how we have continued to be able to make ends meet every month and thanks to figuring out couponing we have stocked up on things that I would have never imagined. It has also been great because doing this has brought some of the family closer together and that has been awesome getting to know them even better. This year we added a sweet baby boy to our family and I am so thankful for Lucas and my 2 girls, Kendra & Kaylie. I have three healthy and happy children and that means the world to me. I am of course thankful for my husband. Spencer is such a hard worker and he is doing his best to give this family what we need. I sure love him and although I don't always show it, but he is pretty great!
