Tyson is TWO!

My favorite little man is growing up so fast! He turned two in February. We celebrated at Chucky Cheese with a cowboy party. He's really into horses and guns. In the field across from our house we had about 10 horses, now there are cows (boo!) and Tyson loved to watch them, feed them and pet them. He also loves his rocking horse and little barn with his farm animals. He loves his cowboy hat and Dads cowboy hat and playing the guitar about his cowboy hat. He is so cute when he tilts his hat and says, "howdy." He loves Woody, Jessie and her horse (he loves Buzz too). Yes, he likes lots of other things... like football, basketball, soccer, baseball, cars, Darth Vader (since Disneyland) and trains and books; but he loves horses the most right now. So for his birthday I made him some cowboy chaps and vest and a guitar cake. I couldn't believe how adorably cute he was in his outfit.

Don't all two year olds like to do everything themselves. Even light their own candles.

Not the best picture, but its the only one of Lydia we have from Tysons party.

I don't think a kid has ever been more loved. Tyson has such a fun, happy personality. He loves to go go go. Although, since Lydia has come along, we have discovered that Tyson will sit and watch movies too. Yahoo.  As of late he has been a DADDYs boy! Each day when Clint leaves for work Tyson and I watch out the front window and Daddy drives away and waves. As soon as Clint gets around the corner Tyson spreads his arms and says "Hug, hug, hug." But not to me, he wants to give Daddy hugs goodbye, even though this has already happened. Just yesterday I was getting Tyson ready for bed. We brushed his teeth and I said, "Ok do you want to read some books." He says "Yes." and then put his hand on me and said, "No, stay bathroom." Then he ran out to Clint and in the sweetest voice said." Daddy, read books." I love watching my two boys read and play together.

Disneyland

We took our first family trip to Disneyland. It was better than expected. Lydia was amazingly good (thank goodness!) and Tyson loved loved everything about it. He loved all the characters, the rides, the cousins and the warm weather.

Tyson was a little shy when we first met some of the Characters.

I think its so  cute how he hid behind the pole. I have never seen him like this before. He LOVES Woody. His first star struck experience.

We brought a little football and Tyson loved to hold onto it tight (probably fear of cousins playing with it....."My ootball!")

We got a hotel within walking distance thinking that we would go there for naps. But all except one day, we couldn't pull ourselves away from the fun. Tyson and his cousin who is just two months older.

Sharing secrets with Pluto. I wish I knew what he was saying to him.

 Cute kiddos!

Look how excited Tyson is behind Mickey. Until a couple days before this trip he didn't even know Mickey existed.

Pretty close to what our lunch and dinner looked like most days.

I was sound asleep in the bed next to this. When I first found out that Disneyland didn't open until 10 am, I couldn't believe it was so late. But when I found out I was the one who was going to get to sleep in I loved the late entrance.

Duffy the bear?? Haven't heard of him, but Tyson loves him some teddy bears.

He also loves Mr. Incredible. Little Ethan is a picture taking pro.

An Acapella Quartet that was really good.

Toon Town. Our last night and probably our favorite. This place was perfect for Tyson.

We went to muscle beach where we watched Clint climb the rope. He had a big black guy there rooting (or yelling) him on. If he wasn't there, I am not sure Clint would have made it.
Image
Oh no, there goes Tyson across the way making a run for it.

Going to Disneyland with kids is a whole different experience than without. And a WAY better experience.  It was so fun to watch the joy in Tyson and his cousins and they saw the characters, princesses, and went on the rides. February was also an awesome time to go. Great weather and it wasn't too busy.  We couldn't have asked for a better trip. Thanks Trina and Raquel for letting us join you to the magical kingdom!
