Welcome to My Ko-fi: Survival, Mutual Aid & Alternative Mental Health Hi, I’m Marjolaine. I’ve spent years working alongside marginalized communities—offering harm reduction, peer support, and direct care for people the system has failed. My experience includes working in supervised injection sites, supporting unhoused people, and providing disability and palliative care. I have also built grassroots mutual aid projects, like Le Punk-o-Frigo, a community food-sharing initiative challenging capitalist control over basic necessities. But I am not just a worker in these spaces—I have lived through extreme hardship myself. I know what it means to survive in a world that is not built for us. I know what it feels like to be abandoned by systems that claim to help. Traditional mental health approaches often act as if distress is an individual failing, ignoring how poverty, trauma, and systemic violence shape our nervous systems and survival. That’s why I create and share alternative mental health tools—resources that acknowledge neurodivergence, trauma, and the reality that healing is often impossible under capitalism. But right now, I can’t survive at all. My health is declining. The few resources I relied on—medical care, food banks, survival programs—are disappearing. I am struggling with extreme poverty, food insecurity, and worsening health with no safety net. Getting better isn’t just about me. It means I can return to my community, continue building mutual aid projects, and support others who are also struggling to survive. I want to keep creating tools for those of us who are overlooked, unheard, and left behind. But first, I need to survive. This Ko-fi is a space where I share my work: 🖤 Printable self-soothing cards & mental health tools 🖤 Survival strategies beyond mainstream mental health 🖤 Reflections on capitalism, trauma, and mutual aid 🖤 Pay-what-you-can resources for those who need them How You Can Help: 🤍 A one-time donation helps with food, medical needs, and survival. 🤍 Monthly support allows me to keep creating resources and mutual aid work. 🤍 Sharing this page helps me reach others who believe in collective care. Your support doesn’t just help me—it helps me get back to the work I love: creating resources, organizing mutual aid, and fighting for a world where none of us are left behind. ✨ Every donation, share, or kind word makes a real difference. Thank you for being here. You are not alone. ✨
