Life

I decided I really suck and blogging... I don't really like blogging I guess but I love to read everyones blog.  I really wanted this blog to be like a journal but what good is a journal if you write in it twice a year.  Well I guess I will give a little update on life!

Brightyn turned 6 months!! Where does time go? Makes me sad she is growing so fast but I love the little personality she is developing.   Above are her 6 months pictures!! She is SUCH a girl... after I changed her into her tutu we were taking some pictures and I turned away for a second and she fell over...well needless to say she would not forgive so we had to end the photo shoot early.. She really makes you pay if you upset her in anyway! Her nicknames include "Miss B"  "little girl" and Bryn.  She is rolling over and talking so much! We love you so much little girl! Thanks for being so dramatic...it gives us a good laugh.

Weston is your typical 2 year old!! I feel like we are happy one minute and then fighting the next.  He is very stubborn..(pay back?) and everything has to be his idea.  For example...when we are getting ready to leave since it is not his idea he will say "no go" and then go up to his room.  We then proceed and go sit in the car till he eventually makes his way down the stairs and then wants to go! Stinker!!  But he is soo fun as well.  He has the best personality.  When we go places he talks to everyone..  He will keep saying "hey there" till you say hi back. (so please just say hi back people) He HAS exploded with his talking.  He talks so much and I love it!! He has to also has to sleep with three things.. his baby, buzz and binky. (still working on the binky)  I cant believe this boy is already 2.5!   Last week he was in the hospital for RSV and pneumonia and every time the nurses would come in her would look at them and say "get out of here"..he didn't like when they had to deep suction him.  Somethings I don't want to forget is he will look at me and say "you ok mom, do you want a hug?"  "ssssh sister is sleeping" "hugs hugs" "ciao" "you want to cuddle mom, lets cuddle"

Happy birthday to our little Weston boy who turned two on September 7th!!

I love this little boy like I never thought I could.  I don't even remember life without him. He is an absolute joy to have around and keeps us laughing everyday by his great personality. Life is so full with him as a part of our family.

Here are some cute little things I don't want to forget about my little man

"I wuv you mommy"
"Mom mom mom, kisses?"
"Help me mom, help-a me mom help-a me"
He has NO trouble meeting new friends, will talk to anyone his size
"chocolate milk pleeeeeease"
"I want more, I want more"
"mmmmm Mom that is gooood"
"bye bye bye, wuv you bye"
Loves playing with his cousins
Has a very special bond with Grandma Williams, when she is around he doesn't want me or Robby
Loves his little sister and always wants to give her kisses when she is sad
LOVES Toy Story!

I honestly lack the words of how to express how much I love him.  I feel so blessed to have this little man in my life and I know Robby feels the exact same way.

Happy 2nd Birthday little man! We LOVE YOU!!!

Brightyn Elise Welling

Introducing Miss Brightyn Elise Welling!!! My labor story was really quick and simple this time around! Baby number 2 is cake! On August 7th we went in at 7 a.m. for my induction.  I had a nurse that was in training so the questions and the paper signing at the beginning that should only take about 30 min took about an hour and half because she kept messing up but she was so sweet! It was about 9 o'clock when they started my IV and started the pitocin.  I felt very mild contractions and the nurse came in to ask me if I wanted my epidural now (9:30) or in about and hour and half when the Dr. came out of a c-section.  I decided to get it later because I wanted painful contractions so I wasn't so nervous about the epidural.  Well the nurse came in one last time and checked me and I was at a 3 and said are you sure you want to wait for that epidural.  Robby said to just get it and so I agreed to just get it.  I am so THANKFUL I did or else I would have had this baby natural probably.  At 11 the nurse came into check me and I was at a 4. At 12 the nurse came in to check me at I was at a 8..moving right along.  At 12:15 the nurse came back in to adjust the heart monitors because it was not reading, so she decided to have me move side and when I went to move she was said "you ready to have a baby because she is right here."  Just then my Dr. just happened to walk in to check on me and so they got everything ready and with 1 push this little princess came into the world at 12:23!

Life with 2 kids has been a bit of an adjustment for all of us but we are chugging right along. Wes has been doing pretty good just a little more emotional about things..He has started to cuddle me again and I don't mind that at all.  He loves his sister and when she cries he says "Mom, kisses" and will give her kisses on the head.  He does like to test his limits when I am holding her because he knows I am occupied but he is adjusting better than I thought.  We are a happy family of 4!!!

Lately

Its been a busy spring/summer so far! I thought I would update this journal on events that have been happening around the Welling house!  When we found out this little baby was a girl I wanted to make the nursery both boy and girl since they will be sharing.  I thought I would stay with blues/greens for the boy feel but have girly looking fabric etc. I started looking on Etsy to find some custom baby crib bedding but everything was over 300 dollars and I just couldn't do it.  So I thought I would ask my mom to help me make some bedding because she used to sew all of our clothes when we were little. She agreed to help me and she did a wonderful job!! Picking fabric was stressful for me, I went through 4 different sets of fabric before my mother finally took this fabric and washed it so I couldn't return it anymore but I am so pleased with it. My mom did a wonderful job on the bumpers and crib skirt. I am going to find be a light blue sheet and decorate a pillow to put in the crib.  Thank you mom!!

p.s. my dr said he will take me on August 7th if I don't go into labor. That is less than 8 weeks! We are almost done here folks!

My sister in law saw this cute maxi skirt tutorial on elleapparel.blogspot.com and asked my mom if she would be willing to help me make some skirts. She agreed again and we made me, my sisters, and sister in law a couple of these skirts. I have a purple, blue and this striped one. I got my fabric on sell and made 2 skirts for about 18 dollars. Thanks again to my mom who really made all of these skirts. She made 4 of these skirts in 2 hours!  I have brought my mom back to her crafty days!!! I love DIY projects

Here is Wes bald!!! haha! Robby says I am not allowed to cut his hair anymore! This picture was about a month ago and thank heaven his hair is finally growing back in nicely.  I decided I would try cutting his hair so I gave him the iPad and when to town. Till I messed up and had to shave it all.  I even shaved his calic (sp) right off and he had two bald bald spots which you can kind of see in the picture. Lets just say I will be paying 9 dollars to get his haircut from now on!

A little update on our Wes is he LOVES to be outside even if he is just wondering around.  He is starting into his TERRIBLE two's I think.  Just in the last couple weeks he has gone from my sweet little boy to a stubborn/tantrum boy.  I hope this phase doesn't last too long!!

Wes also loves being with his cousins!

And what boy wouldn't love his Grandpa's tractor! Spoiled little boy! We sure do love him even thought he keeps us on our toes!

Prego

So this pregnancy has been a little different than with Wes.  This pregnancy I was pretty sick for about 12 weeks, I felt like I had the flu all day long and just felt so extremely tired.  I also crave the weirdest things, I  LOVE pasta with PREGO sauce! Robby is probably sick of it by now for dinner but Weston still loves it! I have also loved nacho cheese, and anything SWEET! But I am now feeling good just still so tired, I will try to study or read and I just fall asleep within 5 min. But overall excited to meet this little girl!

We decided on the name! It was either going to be Mallory Afton or Brightyn Elise and we (I) have chosen
BRIGHTYN ELISE!! She has been Brightyn since I found out I was pregnant, kind of like how Weston was Weston right when we found out we were expecting! This little girl is already spoiled has tons of bows, dresses, rompers, leggings, etc!

Here is little Brightyn at the 20 week ultrasound! Everything is healthy and growing!Image

Here I am at 23 weeks! I look and feel bigger this time around!

however,  I do love this little hilarious, lovable toddler!!
If I could describe in one word my feelings toward this little dude would be OBSESSED!  I love his personality and naughty-ness!  Here are a few things I want to remember about him at this age.
-Still LOVES his binky (working on that)
-Loves to sleep (or wont sleep without) with this cuddle dog thing my friend Janee gave him at birth (thanks Janee)
-Anytime you try to kiss, hug or love him when he doesn't want it he will say "OUCH"
-Loves chocolate milk, pears, pasta, pizza, and cheese
-Still loves his bath
-Teething still, we went from 4 teeth to 8 teeth in a week
-Loves to push anything that has wheels
-Loves to GO places. Anytime you say the word go he runs to the door and says "GO GO GO"
-Doesn't like any veggies (suggestions?)
-Still continues to say Hello and Bye to everyone in the stores!
-Loves the park and goes head first down the slides
-He says a couple sentences right now which are "Who is that? Where is that? Where are you going? Lets go.  1,2,3.
-Loves to watch movies, but we limit them of course
HE IS SUCH A BOY!!!!

Girls Girls Girls

So since we have found out that we are having a girl I have had a lot of thoughts that go through my head.

I am a little stressed about a couple things...

- I CANT raise myself! Or anyone remotely close to the emotionally, whiney, crazy, dramatic child I was. I need to start thanking my mom daily for raising me!!
- Elementary: mean girls, insecurities, being left out and drama!

-Junior high:  everything mentioned above but only worse and cheerleading or dance try-outs
- High school: everything mentioned above only worse and with a car and a boyfriend (not if I have anything to do with it!)
- An older brother with friends... in the same house as his younger sister with friends (but unfortunately only 23 months apart!)... oh I am not so naive, don't even think I don't see the immediate danger in that!

- WESTON is so much FUN!! I love having a little dude that is so happy and relaxed (for the most part).  Boys really are so fun and he does the funniest things all the time and girls well they come with DRAMA! haha

But in all seriousness I am excited to meet this little bean and girl shopping well lets be honest is a lot more fun because you can accessorize (bows, bracelets, etc)  I am excited to get my little girl so one day if I need to be taken care of she will take me in so I won't have to go to a nursing home haha.  (I only think of those things because of where I work) I know I will love her so much and Robby will be such a great father to a little girl!!   I am ready for the battle of "this doesn't match" or "I need the expensive jeans not the cheap ones" or "I wish we were rich like my friend ....." or "why can't I go to the movie with the boys, you don't even understand."  These are all these I have said to my mother a time or two. But one day she will love me!
