August {2015}

August has included lots of fishing and lots of time with Daddy!

Image

We celebrated our 7th anniversary up at Skamania Lodge! It was beautiful and they had a pretty delicious prime rib! Kevin did a round a golf while I drove him around...It was so nice to get out of the house and spend some time together!! I sure love this man and I am so lucky to spend my life with him!! He has been so great while I have been so helpless lately! Cooking, cleaning, doing laundry and being the best Daddy ever!! I don't know what I would do without him!!

Image

The boys cut down a tree while I was at my weekly chiropractor appointment - Kevin even let the boys use their own saw!

Image

Mason got new soccer gear and starts practice the end of the month!! He is SO EXCITED!!

Mason & Kev (and sometimes Miller) have been fishing every other day! This boy loves it as much as his father!!

Growing Baby Maddox

This sweet boy is scheduled to arrive in ten days. September 1st. I am currently 38 weeks and it's a good thing this is my third pregnancy and not my first or he would have been an only child. This pregnancy has been pretty horrendous. And our sweet little Maddox better be the best baby/toddler/child/teenager/adult EVER... kidding {okay... no I'm not!}!!

I started out very sick and nauseous constantly. This lasted until about 18 weeks... And I was so sure he was a girl because I hadn't been sick with Mason or Miller - at all!! About 16 weeks I started having pelvic pains... At first they were just uncomfortable but they keep getting worse and worse. Around 20 weeks my doctor told me it was symphysis pubic dysfunction aka pelvis girdle pain aka an unstable pelvis. Basically a pregnancy hormone called relaxin was causing the ligaments in my pelvis to stretch out too much and my pelvis was rocking and the only cure is to not be pregnant and it would only get worse the bigger I got! Not the best news... As things progressed they surely did get worse and worse. At one point I actually twisted my pelvis (known as a sacroiliac sprain) and then it didn't want to stay in place. So from about 26ish weeks on I've walked like I'm 80, can't lift, bend, have a very hard time with stairs basically - I'm useless. Anytime I'm on my feet I'm in pain and all the joints in my pelvis hurt...front back and hips.  June I spent three weeks at my parents so Mom could take care of me... July while Kev was at work Uncle Skye took Mason and thank goodness Kev had enough sick leave to stay home all of August and September. Needless to say it has been a long few months and I am very ready to meet the newest Maki boy!! And I know as soon as I see his face it will have all been worth it!!

This is at my 38 week appointment... I was admitted for the day for high blood pressure. They monitored me and baby (he was doing great) and took labs to gain a baseline. They sent me home that evening and I had to come back the next morning for another day of blood pressure monitoring... It was still high but not high enough to do anything. They did more labs and the only thing wrong was my blood pressure and this gnarly headache. No other signs of preeclampsia... My doctor said if it was up to him he would just take him... But he has to follow protocol (and thanked Obamacare for that!) and since there is no signs of preeclampsia I was sent home and have to go back in three days for more monitoring... I am praying they'll take pity on me and let us meet our sweet Maddox a little sooner than expected! But if not...ten more days of waiting!!
