The White House is down...destruction of the Orchard

The Graff family sold their orchard and it's being developed for town houses- 36 of them!  It is the area just kitty corner from our back yard- we loved the fruit they would share- grapes, apples, peaches! I also took many pictures by the old white barn and under the beautiful big tree... It was sad to see the old white house the Turley's lived in come down and maybe I was out there picking the grapes as fast as I could before they tore out the grape vines... We are sad to see it go!

Arches and Moab Camping Trip

Image
Afton actually used this picture for Reflections!
This is a picture overload but it's okay- it was an awesome trip worthy of the pictures!  I've always wanted to go hiking in Moab and I've driven past the Arches a hundred times but never stopped.  I finally got my chance as we took a fun camping trip with the Felix's and the Smith's families from our ward- what a blast!  We camped on the West side of Moab out in the boonies surrounded by HUGE red cliffs.  The kids ran wild like jack rabbits (we even saw a few real ones!) and we hiked to some great arches with incredible views.  Definitely worth the trip!

Image
We saw Delicate arch- there were thousands of people hiking this trail. It's a moderate hike and the kids did great.

We also hiked to Double Arch- it was a simple, 1/4 mile hike with a very impressive formation!

Anika turns 2!

Happy birthday my Ani-girl!  We had a balloon party for this tiny girl with lots and lots of balloons and lots and lots of presents and family... What a loved girl!Image

Image
She got a pink, strawberry smelling Build-a-bear from Daddy- it's name is Strawberry.  She got a birthday shirt and a Hello Kitty outfit from Grandma Norviel and a tiny baby with a crocheted blanket and burp cloth from Grammie.  Maama and Pa gave her a real American Girl doll with brown hair and lots of clothes and accessories to go with her. Her name is Iris.  Grandma Largey gave her a doll car seat and accessories plus lots of treats in the giant bag of Grandma:).

We went to a "Hot Tapa" restaurant for dinner because Ani loves Pizza! But she calls it tapa... She sings a song with Daddy that goes "Hot tapa. Sweet tapa. Every body loves tapa."

Such a cute girl!

BYU Cougar Run 2015

We love BYU homecoming and the Cougar Run!  Especially because the little ones can run too- they are so fun to watch!  This year was Ani's first run- she was adorable:).  Afton was cute too but, she was also super FAST!  She ended up in 4th place over all and that was against the 6 year old!  Weston did well and ran almost the whole thing...boy his face was red by the end of that mile!Image
