What do you mean by Personal Information?

We use the term “Personal Information” to refer to data that identifies you directly or makes you identifiable in connection with other data we hold or obtain. That includes any information which we can use to determine who you are, such as, for example, your account login information, your IP address, or your shipping and billing information.

We decided to use the term “Personal Information” in our policies to represent the respective terms in all jurisdictions that we are subject to.

Why does Larian Studios use my Personal Information?

We use your Personal Information to offer you our products and services, if you have bought or signed up for them, and to run our business. For example, we use your information to:

• Your Larian Account information, such as your username and email address
• Your address, when you buy items in our Merch Store or save it in your Larian account
• Your order and payment information, when you buy items in our Merch Store. This includes details on what you bought and your invoice, which we need to keep for our business records.
• Your general location information (the country you are in) when you visit our websites, to offer you the correct regional services
• Your CV and application, if you apply to work with us

How is Larian Studios getting my Personal Information?

Usually, we get your Personal Information from you, when you share it with us. This happens, for example, when you create a Larian account, link your accounts on other platforms (like Steam or PlayStation) to your Larian account, buy something in our Merch Store, play our games, sign up for our newsletter, contact us for support, or apply to work with us.

We can also get information about you from other sources, like when we source candidates for recruiting.

What is Larian Studios doing to protect my Personal Information?

We do the best we can to make sure the data we hold about you is kept safe and secure. This includes:

Physical and IT security. We follow physical, technical, and administrative guidelines and safeguards to keep your data secure. We work with internal and external cybersecurity experts to ensure our software infrastructure is protected.

Limiting access. We limit who at Larian Studios can access your Personal Information on a need-to-know basis. Only those teams who need your information to provide you with our products and services can access it. Some information that we use is even kept externally and cannot be accessed by anyone at Larian Studios, to ensure maximum secrecy. We keep your information only for as long as it is necessary or as required by applicable law.

Sharing safely. When we share your information with our partners to provide our products and services to you, we always require them to protect it and keep it safe. We hold our partners to the same security standards as ourselves. We never sell or share your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

What rights do I have regarding my Personal Information?

Depending on where you are based, you have many different rights regarding your Personal Information. We will always try to accommodate your request to the best of our ability. Some of these rights include:

• Knowing what Personal Information we have about you
• Asking us to delete any Personal Information we have about you that we are not required or allowed to keep by law

In addition, you can complain to a government authority that supervises how we process data.
