It's been brought to my attention that it would be a kindly thing to let folx know that I am safe from the wildfires.

My city is pretty insulated, being a metropolis surrounded by water, and our biggest problem at the moment is smoke: a lot of it. We're trapped indoors like most people in our area with air in the "unhealthy" zone or worse.

My family, north of me, are dealing with even unhealthier air but are also safe from the fires at this point and aren't expected to be affected.

It's a very scary time and like all of you I am managing a lot of stress, mostly with repeated applications of fandom, cookery, novels, etc.
