I’ve always had such a soft spot for Paul Giamatti and its films like this that solidify my sentiment. He is exceptionally perfect in this gem of a film!

Then we have newcomers for me, Dominic Sessa, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Carrie Preston bringing in their own heartfelt performances. Dominic and Da’Vine kept ripping my heart out, scene after scene!

Ian Dooley and Jim Kaplan both brought tears to my eyes with their respective scenes. While only in the film…

"Even our quiet, at times nervous disposition seemed to exasperate him to no end."

~Visionary, Stylized, Stunning, Period Piece by thee Guillermo del Toro~

"And there, for decades, I tried to...expand the narrow limits of academia."

"The answers only come when coaxed by disobedience, free of fear and cowardly dogma!"

You can do absolutely no wrong with Amanda Seyfried, I swear! Whenever she's in a film, you already know you are in good hands and that you can depend on her performance most of all. She blew me out of the water with how perfect she was in this role!

Out of the Sydney Sweeney roles I've seen so far, I would definitely say that this is one of her best performances, aside from Immaculate and season 2 of Euphoria.…

Another re-watch for the books, and it's still one of my top five favorite films!

Still well-acted
It still has a hauntingly beautiful score
And it still never fails to make me emotional by the end of it all

~Brilliant, Gruesome, Deeply Moving, A film that sticks with you~

Luca Guadagnino continues to perfectly craft these film gems, seamlessly.
