HORRORWEEN 2020

I loved this when I saw it at the cinema back in the day and it's just as much fun now. Glad it's picked up a cult following as it was unfairly treated on it's initial release.

Chris Pratt has the briefest of appearances. JK Simmons gets some great lines but is under used. Seyfried & Fox are great and play off each other so well. The weakest element for me was the CG which has not aged all that well.

About time we had a sequel...

Looking over at my wall of DVD's and Blu-Ray's.

"The things you own end up owning you."

That's why I watched this on Netflix instead.

I'm Free.

2026 Update: Just ordered this on 4K Steelbook, Yay Captialism.

4K: Watchlist

Watched the new Arrow 4K and it's hands down the best this film has looked, not that was something I ever worried about when watching 5th generation taped off TV VHS copies!

This was one of my favourites as a kid, slapstick comedy sci-fi with hints of body horror. Joe Dante casually getting away with cannibalism!

Martin Short should have become an all out action star after this.

Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith

I'll always have a soft spot for this, easily the best of the prequel trilogy and it was my first Star Wars film at the cinema!

That opening sequence is still fantastic, again action scenes are where the film is at it's best, character development is pushed to the back burner for a lot of the runtime, it's most notable when they have to wrap up and give us Darth Vader in the final 5 minutes!
