DC Thomson have just released the cover images of their forthcoming annuals (thanks to John Freeman for notifying me about this link) so I thought it'd be appropriate to show a preview of another panel from the work I did for the book.
As mentioned in previous posts, I've written and drawn three stories for The Dandy Annual 2027, and each runs to two pages. They all star Dinah Mo, the girl who's passionate about inventing ways to help the environment. (Yep, this is a totally different character to the "naughty kid" Dinah Mo of decades ago that was by different creators.) In the example above, Dinah has created a rubbish-collecting robot. What could possibly go wrong?
These strips were my final work for DC Thomson and for mainstream kids' comics in general, but I'm still busy doing my own comics as well as The Daft Dimension for Doctor Who Magazine and other projects.
The Dandy Annual 2027 will be published in September of this year. Here's the superb cover below. I'm not sure who drew it but I'm pleased to see Dinah Mo prominently included. I'm sure Thomsons will have a great artist lined up to take over the strip in the years to come.
