Hey, I’m Charlie - welcome to Life Before Plastic :)

I’m an eco-lifestyle educator and sustainability advocate based in the UK. I’ve spent seven years’ helping people turn environmental intent into everyday action.

I use my background and education in law and environmental policy, and my experience running a leading independent eco-shop to bring real-world insight to the sustainability conversation.

I talk about systems thinking, practical behaviour change, and how we each can play a meaningful part in a reducing our global and individual impact.

I was hugely influenced by returning to the UK after a volunteering trip in Nepal. I saw a lack of a waste-management system in Nepal as a clear reason for their waste problem, but in the UK we have a waste management system, but our parks are still covered in litter.

This experience let me to set up lifebeforeplastic.co.uk with my sister - an e-commerce platform spotlighting responsible brands and championing lower-impact alternatives.

Today, I focus on sustainability storytelling, sharing relatable, solution-focused comms. From weekly eco actions to deep dives into global issues here and on my social media platforms: Instagram, TikTok & YouTube.
