ABOUT me

Hey there! I'm Adalei Sanders, the creator of "Life with Difficulty" and a disability advocate that lives with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, and late-onset hearing loss. Growing up I was told to not let my disabilities define me, which is rather hard to do when they affect my day to day life. I am beyond grateful to be in partial remission from P.O.T.S, but I still experience daily EDS symptom as well as am faced with progressive hearing loss that started in my preteens.
As you can tell, I never took the advice that wanted me to shut my disabilities away from the world. As a matter of fact, I consider it a major pillar in my identity. Despite growing up hearing, I do my best to be a part of Deaf culture through using American Sign Language and using my platform to educate others on hearing loss.
