I never post on here anymore, but I thought I would post our Halloween pictures for when I finally get around to making a book of my blog. And also for my sister who is the last person I know that doesn't have a cell phone, and so she doesn't instagram...which is where all my photos get posted these days. :)
Addie decided she wanted to dress up as her lalaloopsy doll, mango tiki wiki. So we did make up to look like the doll and used an outfit that some of Jon's friends in Tahiti gave us for her when we were there last May. She carried her doll around so that people would know what she was, but she seemed happy about it. Jackson was the cutest and happiest skeleton you have ever seen. And Gracie decided, after lots of debate about which princess she wanted to be, that she would just be a cat like her new friend Brynn. We made Jack-o-lantern pizza. And only had one costume mishap, when Grace was getting on the potty before we left her ears fell in...so we had to quickly wash and dry them, yikes. Jon made it home for trick-or-treating (miracle of the night) and the costume parade/contest at our small town celebration, then we stopped by old town to trick-or-treat at his work, and the last stop was the ward trunk or treat. I am still confused why we do that the same night as all the cute small town celebrations here, but I am glad we went this year because I got to see all my cute primary kids in their costumes.

Jackson Tanner
Today my sweet little boy is 1 month old! I can't believe it has already been a month. I haven't been the greatest at updating my blog, and since I have a new baby I don't really have the time to hash out all the details about this kid, but lets just say, we like him a lot and we are glad he is in our family. We didn't have him on the side of the freeway in Black Canyon City as Jon feared we would. We made the 2 hour drive to the hospital just fine. I ended up doing the birth naturally, and boy was it painful...not that I thought it wouldn't be, but it is hard to fathom how painful it is unless you have done it. My water broke right when they were getting me checked into my room (at that point I was a 4) and he was born about 30 minutes after that. So that last 30 minutes was pretty intense and fast. My midwife wasn't even there yet. The nurse had to call whatever doctor was around until she got there. The doctor that came in was a family practice doctor not even an ob, but she held him in until my midwife got there and then they made me push him out slow. I was pretty insistent that I wanted to get him out faster but they wouldn't let me. Most pain I have ever felt. But he is totally worth it. He was so alert when he came out and I was able to get up and walk around after. The recovery was great, way better than my other two. And I feel like I bonded with him way faster. Anyways here is a few pictures of the cute little guy.
I am pretty sure Grace just realized he is here to stay and this week has been pretty bad for her. Luckily she doesn't take it out on him, she really is soft and sweet with him. She takes it out on me, because I don't have time to help her as much. When she is mad she tells me that she isn't going to give me hugs or kisses anymore. It is pretty heartbreaking. Quite an adjustment, I am just glad she doesn't resent him. We also all have colds this week even poor little Jackson. Welcome to the world buddy.

Grace is 3!
A few weeks ago my big girl turned 3. We just did a little water party for playgroup in my friends backyard. It was low key, but fun. She actually came down with the stomach flu that day and was sick on her birthday, poor little girl. We sure love her. She is strong willed, but full of cute personality. She is a cuddle bug, loves to help me cook in the kitchen, makes us laugh constantly, and loves to read books. We are lucky to have her in our family. Here is her birthday interview.

For her birthday she decided to do a family birthday party with Jon's family in Mesa, which will be next weekend when we go down to have my ultrasound to find out the gender of the new baby. But we did have cupcakes at the park with some of our neighborhood friends, and on her birthday she requested going out for pizza and ice cream cones afterwards. Happy Birthday to our darling Addie.
At the park for a playdate with friends.

Her Berenstain Bears books from Grandma were definitely her favorite present!
New Years
I have been neglecting my blog lately. So here we go with a few posts of mostly catch up with pictures. We had a low key, but fun New Years. We went to our friend's house for New Years Eve and had a yummy dinner and the kids played while the adults talked. It was lot of fun, but I forgot to take any pictures. On New Years day we had a nice meal and the princesses, I mean our girls, drank sparkling cider out of goblets. Cheers to the new year and new adventures.
