Every founding team hits a moment where leaving feels like the logical move. Behance founder Scott Belsky has watched enough of them make that call to know it almost never is. His conversation on The New Build is about what keeps the teams worth betting on in the room when everything is telling them to go. Listen below.

In an ever-changing landscape, the natural response is to fear what you don't know. Bubble's panel at NY Tech Week was our answer to that fear, a conversation about a future being written and rewritten as we speak, by people bold enough to dream big and curious enough to keep asking what comes next. Thank you to everyone who showed up, and to our speakers Emmanuel Straschnov, Ezra Gershanok, Dorothy Chang, and moderator Alex Konrad for an insightful evening.

At most universities, students take a different set of classes every semester and start from scratch each time when it comes to connecting with the people around them. Classed was built to address that specific friction. The app automatically places students into a group chat for every class they're enrolled in, with tools for asking questions, pinning the most important ones, scheduling study sessions, and asking anonymously when the pressure of putting your name to an inquiry feels like too much. Built on Bubble, and you can download here: https://lnkd.in/gD2_f7Wz https://lnkd.in/gPTB2Brb

4,800 active users. 12,136 successful connections. 2,866 schools. 800+ businesses. First version live in 2 weeks. $9,700 per year saved on SaaS tools. Every year since launch. A UK platform connecting young people, schools, businesses, and career events across the country. Four distinct user types. Weekly live broadcasts. Full admin CRM. Segmented email built directly into the platform. Built on Bubble. Operating layer designed before a single screen was drawn. Before I designed anything, I mapped how the team would actually run the platform day to day. Who manages which users. How broadcast invites go out. How sponsorship relationships are tracked. How businesses and schools get different email communications based on their segment and activity. The client mentioned they'd probably need HubSpot for the emails. I told them I could build the same functionality into the platform for $15 a month instead of $800. They looked at me like I was joking. Here's what that CRM layer actually does: every user type gets segmented email flows based on their activity. Schools get different broadcasts than businesses. Young people get nudges based on connections made. Admins can trigger manual campaigns by segment without touching a third-party tool. $800 per month HubSpot never needed. The email and CRM infrastructure was inside the product before it was ever asked for. The founders who discover the operating layer after launch spend the next 12 months bolting tools on and paying for things they never budgeted for. The ones who build it in from day one never have to. The app is what your users see. The process underneath it is what makes the business run.

We evaluate every new model before it touches Bubble AI against the things builders rely on: expression generation, workflow coverage, UI quality, and post-generation issue rates. Anthropic's Claude Fable passed, and it's live in the app generator and the AI Agent now. Swipe to check out our process.
