She was on her way to Kyoto—not just for a trip, but to present at her first academic conference. For Winnie, the moment marked more than a milestone; it was the culmination of a year-long transformation from a curious volunteer into the youngest presenter at the 2026 ATLAS conference.

From noon to 1 p.m., the hour is dedicated to bringing the ASU Downtown Phoenix community together while also advertising the parks, recreation and sport management programs and showing people the often-overlooked aspects of them.
