Fair Scotland

We are a collective of Showpeople, artists and researchers who promote, advocate and celebrate contemporary fairground culture in Scotland. A registered charity, we aim to improve knowledge of Scottish Showpeople within Scotland and internationally, promoting their unique heritage and experiences through a range of ongoing activities and projects. We seek to challenge discrimination against Scottish Showpeople and feed meaningfully into policies that affect them, and their relationship with other communities. To do this, we have an ongoing programme of research, cultural and heritage projects and events, and we engage with a range of partners and collaborators. We are led by and for Scotland’s Showpeople: 90% of our core members are Scottish Showpeople, representing a range of ages, experiences and backgrounds. Registered Scottish Charity SC051246
