Apple Flavored Water Drink (AFWD) is a local-first Windows utility designed to help users explore, index, and export data from Apple device backups with clarity and control.
AFWD reads unencrypted iPhone backups stored on your PC, detects standard iTunes and AFWD-managed backup folders, and parses Apple databases such as Messages and file manifests to build fast local indexes. All processing occurs entirely on your machine — no cloud services, no uploads, and no external data sharing.
AFWD is intended for users who prefer transparent, local tools and need practical access to their own device data without relying on cloud services.
With dedicated tools for browsing conversations, exporting messages and attachments, inspecting backup file structures, and previewing device media, AFWD is built for reliability, performance, and professional workflows when working with large datasets.
This is a pre-1.0 release focused on stability, correctness, and trust with more to come.
