How to join a group?

We are a community‑based service offering a wide range of support in local settings. This includes relapse prevention work, recovery support, peer support, wellbeing activities, and creative therapies.

Where we are based; Appointments only 

Our Peer Support Workers play a vital role in our service, bringing either personal lived experience or family lived experience to their work. Their insight helps build trust, strengthen engagement, and create meaningful connections within the community. We have Peer Support Workers based across Perth & Kinross as well as a dedicated team working within Perth Prison.

They support a range of community groups and cafés, offering recovery tools, naloxone, harm‑reduction advice, family support, and signposting to other services or referral pathways. Their groups are designed to offer something for everyone, with options such as art‑based sessions, mindfulness activities, and a walking group. Through their experience, empathy, and practical knowledge, our Peer Support Workers help people feel supported, understood, and empowered.

Peer Support Workers 

Our Adult Service supports people across the community with any drug or alcohol concerns. We offer short‑term 1:1 support, and individuals can self‑refer or be referred by partner agencies. During sessions, we focus on helping people build the tools they need to work toward their personal goals. This includes relapse‑prevention work, motivational support, exploring triggers and coping strategies, and harm‑reduction advice.

Support typically lasts 6–8 weeks, empowering people to continue their progress independently. We also provide a range of groups and recovery cafés across Perth & Kinross, offering safe, welcoming spaces for connection and support. Through strong partnership working, we can signpost individuals to other services that best meet their needs.

Adult Service 

Our Young People’s Service supports those aged 12–25 with any concerns around drug or alcohol use. We deliver education sessions across local and rural schools, recognising how important early prevention, information sharing and practical advice are. Our team uses interactive approaches to keep young people engaged, and we offer 1:1 support alongside a range of groups throughout Perth & Kinross.

Through strong partnership working, our Young People’s Team strives to provide the best support possible. This includes relapse‑prevention work, motivational support, harm‑reduction advice, and signposting to other helpful services within the community.

About the Service 

Recovery Support

Referral Forms 

We recognise that addiction affects not only the individual but also their loved ones and family members. We can offer advice and signpost people to appropriate services when needed.

We currently run a SMART Family & Friends group, which provides a safe and understanding space for loved ones to share their experiences, learn coping strategies, and receive support in their own right.

Our aim is to help families feel heard, reduce feelings of isolation, and build confidence in supporting someone through recovery while also looking after their own wellbeing.

For Families & Loved ones 

One‑to‑one support is available for anyone seeking help with their recovery journey or looking for guidance around their substance use. Each person will work with a worker who focuses on empowering them to understand their addiction and explore healthier coping strategies.
This support can involve discussing different approaches, identifying triggers, looking at environments or situations that may impact recovery, and developing practical tools to manage challenges.
