In partnership with the non-profit Citizens For A New Louisiana, Watchmen Action is developing a Legislative Dashboard: a gold-standard platform that will aggregate all state-level bills in real time and provide a seamless way for our network of trusted partner organizations and their members to read, assess, and respond to proposed legislation.

Why Do We Need Something Like This?

There is no consistent, structured mechanism for regular people—or leaders from principled, mission-driven organizations—to engage lawmakers at-scale in a way that is simple, direct, and respected. As a result, most lawmakers hear only from a narrow group of insiders, while the broader public is left without a seat at the table.

Aggregate all state bills in an easy-to-navigate format... Empower partner organizations to view, assess, and recommend positions on legislation... Translate public will and expert insights into clear summaries for lawmakers... Display at a glance how many constituents, organizations, and influencers support or oppose proposed bills - and why.

Why Is Watchmen Action Doing This?

There's a serious need for transparency & accountability, which aligns with the mission of Watchmen Action. We're agile, we're solutionists (doers!) we're facilitators, and we have strong partnerships & connections.

What's The Timeline For This To Roll Out?

May – June: Partner and donor alignment; finalization of dashboard features... July – August: Development and internal testing with early feedback from pilot partners... September: Beta launch in Florida timed with the start of the legislative session... October – December: Refinement and integration with additional partners... January 2026 and beyond: With the roll-out of the subsequent legislative session, the Dashboard will be adjusted to refine the capabilities with an eye for an eventual paywall for partner organizations.
