Set up the GOOGLE PHOTOS app on your phone so that every picture you take is saved safely on the internet (in the 'Cloud'). This means if you lose your phone or the phone breaks, your precious photos are safe.


SHORT VERSION

STEP 1: CREATE a Google Account using your Hotmail or any email you use

• Go to: https://accounts.google.com/signup

• Click "Create account" → "For my personal use"

• Fill in your Name and Birthdate

• IMPORTANT: When it asks for a Gmail address, click "Use my current email address instead"

• Type in your full email address - @hotmail.co.uk or any email you use

• Create a password (write this down!)

• Check your email address for a code from Google and enter it


STEP 2: DOWNLOAD the App and Set Up

• Download GOOGLE PHOTOS app from your phone's app store

• Open it and sign in with:

•• Your @hotmail.co.uk or any email you use

•• The password you just created

• When asked, tap "Turn On BACKUP”
