March, and the Things I Cannot Control — Training With an Anti-Oppressive Lens
I need to start with a confession: I hate winter. Not in the charming, “I prefer summer” way. I mean, I resent the darkness at 4:30 pm. I resent the brittle air that hurts my face. I resent how everything feels suspended; color drained, movement slowed, possibility frozen. Every year, I tell mysel

Arc Lifework Session #11: A Conversation with a “Woke” and “Broke” Black Woman
Lifework Sessions are a companion to The Arc of White Womanhood, a course for those socialized white & female, concerning intersections of race and gender. You do not have to have completed The Arc or previous LW sessions. Unpack the compelling, raw lived experiences of Stephanie Colon, a "woke" and "broke" Black woman navigating systemic oppression, racial trauma and complexities of identity. This interactive session is an unapologetic exploration of how Stephanie, plagued by intergenerational racial trauma and internalized racial inferiority, has shaped her story as survivor and thriver.
