The MSU Writing Center will be hosting a Community Writing Center (CWC) every Monday at the Library. Drop by for free help with any writing project, big or small! The CWC's writing consultants are trained to assist writers of all ages with any kind of writing project, whether it's personal or professional! School reports, resumes, cover letters, poetry, fiction, film scripts, personal communications... the CWC's writing experts can help with all of it! Want to start writing but not sure where to start? Have a finished project that might benefit from more editing? Writing consultants would love to assist you at any point in your writing process!While drop-in visits are always welcomed, you can also schedule an appointment with a CWC Consultant via this form.This service is free and open to the public. No registration required.

Thesis and Dissertation Camp Registration
Thesis and Dissertation Camp Registration
Thesis and Dissertation Writing Camp is an opportunity for MSU grad students to have dedicated time to work on writing their theses or dissertations before the hectic semester starts! Students can use this time to set structured goals and find social accountability with facilitators from the Writing Center and peers who are also writing theses and dissertations. For in-person attendees, food and coffee will be available, and crafts will abound to encourage brain breaks. Thesis and Dissertation Writing Camp will take place in 300 Bessey Hall, May 11-13, 2026, from 9am-3pm, both in-person and on Zoom. This registration form will remain open until May 8, 2026. Thank you for your interest in participating in the 2026 Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) Institute, which will be facilitated in person May 4-7, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, in room 300 Bessey Hall. This application is open until Wednesday, April 8th, and is designed for us to get to know your teaching interests and goals for participating in the WAC Institute. We'll use these responses to inform the design of our learning community. Applicants will be notified of their enrollment in the WAC Institute on a rolling basis beginning shortly after the application period closes. Questions? This form will allow you to register for events our Writing Center Write-ins put on by The MSU Writing Center. The WC Write-ins were created after graduate students requested more opportunities for write-ins. The WC write-ins are offered whenever there is an available Friday amongst our other writing programs. Register for the Navigating Series or Grad School Write-ins, link here.
