Baptisms

We drove down to Sacramento to see my niece and Nephew, Olivia and Jackson, get baptized.
ImageEveryone enjoying the drive down from Seattle. Tara and I enjoyed some good books, Greg drove, Layne passed out, and Maren and Olivia enjoyed some movies.

The 4th of July

ImageGreg showing off his ear muffs...to go along with his new gun. No one is more patriotic than Greg for buying a gun on the 4th of July!

Tara is a masterful artist when it comes to face paint.
ImageThat's supposed to be a star on my face...not a star fish that permanently attached itself.
ImageAll the rowdy neighborhood kids...they all tried to be the one to catch the parachute men.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we got together at Kim's house in Utah. It was so cold when I got there...definitely a change in temperature from Arizona.
Image
We have a lot of family up in Utah and they all came over to Kim's house. Kim spent the whole day cooking turkey, raspberry dream salad, and delicious potatoes!

My awesome sisters!

Kim got a hot tub at her house. Who doesn't love being in a hot tub when it's freezing outside. Kentlee loves being in the hot tub!
Image
The next day we went to Temple Square to see the lights. I hadn't been in a while so I was really excited. First we had to fill our bellies with some Pizza:)
ImageImageImageImageImage
Doug and Amy bought a little house up in Midway so we went up there to ride Quad's and freeze! I had to borrow some of Doug's boots so my feet didn't get soaked...it was like wearing clown shoes:)

Multnomah Falls

So before we actually got to Multnomah we made a few stops. This was a special trip just for me and Tara. On our way to Portland we stopped at a little high school in Kalama.
Image
I don't I stopped laughing the entire time Tara and I walked around the school. I kept thinking...we are such nerds!
Image
Then we made it to where we would be staying for the night...The View Point Inn. The prom scene from Twilight was filmed here.

When we checked into our room we found the sleeping accommodations to be a little snug. Tara booked one room with two beds, but we show up to find this treasure of a bed. Luckily we were going to be the only ones staying here so we got another room for me.
Image
This was the room I got to stay in...Le Petite Alcove
Image
Trying to use the old fashioned keys to unlock the door was somewhat of a challenge
Image
I think this room would have been better named...Room full of Pillows
ImageImageImage
Tara and I were soon left to ourselves. We were the only ones staying and once all the staff cleaned up dinner they left us all alone. We enjoyed some reading for a while then we decided to look around.

Let the snooping begin
Image
When we were leaving the next day we thought we'd take a different route home and hit up another movie spot...the scene where they had dinner...should have done more research cause this is what is left of that location...an empty old house!
