Spring Break 2014
Me and the kiddos drove over to Portland
for Spring Break this year. We left on Sunday and
came home the following Sunday.
The drive over was beautiful and the kids did great!
Me and my little man at Seaside!
On Monday we headed to the Coast because it was
suppose to be the nicest day of the week. The kids love
playing in the sand. I wish I could say the water, but as
we know the Oregon Coast the water is rather cold.
The Beautiful view of the Coast!
The kids, grandma and their amazing sand castle. They
were pretty creative and worked together well!
The kids being crazy and silly. Olivia wanted to do a crazy pose
and this is what we got!!
We lasted a while on the beach. The first 10 minutes were beautiful and
perfect and then the wind picked up. We lasted for a while, but then
headed back to walk around and explore the town a little.
This was inside an indoor mall area!
The Carousel!
What kid doesn't like riding on a Carousel? It was a must for
all these kids and they loved every minute of it!
We got ice cream cones too which I think is another must at the beach!
Good old fashion ice cream cone! YUM!!!
The girls!
Taking a break!
We stopped for dinner on the way home and one last
picture! It was a great day and the kids had fun at the
beach. I think we were all worn out by the end of the day!
Day 2
Painting Pottery
We took the girls to a little pottery shop in Portland. They all
picked out a piece to paint and had a lot of fun painting. Olivia
struggled a little, but I just had to let go of my perfectionism and
realize she is five and her pottery won't be perfect, but it will be for her!
Their finished product! Such a fun girls day!
Day 3, Swimming
We went to a Community Center in Portland and let the
kids swim for several hours. It was a great place
with lots of stuff for the kids to and do and of course
the slide was their favorite and Aunt Erick went down
it with them over and over!
Tulip Festival in Woodburn, Oregon
I have always wanted to go, but never seem to be
over the right time of year. We were a little early, but
I was so thankful to be able to go. It was cold and
windy, but we made the most of it!!
The boys and the girls all bundled up on the ride
out to the tulip fields!
The BEAUTIFUL Tulip Fields!
There was a pink tractor so of course Olivia loved this
and had to take a picture of on it!
The windmill and wooden shoes remind me of Holland!
The kids all lined up in the field!
Cute, silly little tulips!
We try to get one good picture of us girls, but with the
kids taking the picture we weren't having great luck!
The boys of would have nothing do to with the pink tractor, but
this one they thought was alright!
LOVE this picture of me and my kids!
What beautiful flowers, what beautiful children
and what a beautiful time we had!
Ericka, Lili and Josiah
Kara, Daphne and Ellis
Olivia and her BIG wooden shoes!
There were different things for the kids to do and
one of them being duck races. It was a blast and entertained us
all for a while! Water, rubber ducks and pumps, you can't go wrong!
Just one of those pictures you have to get and take!
Elephant Ears!
I am pretty sure I have never heard of them or
eaten them, but everyone thought I was crazy and seemed like
they were well known and a popular thing. Crazy how I still
find differences from East to West and what you grow up
eating and knowing. They sure were tasty and the kids
thoroughly enjoyed them!!!! Loved this day!!!
Then one of the last nights we saw a double Rainbow! It was beautiful
and breathtaking! We had such a great time and I am go glad we were
able to make the trip and spent time with the family and let the kids play!
AWESOME Spring Break 2014!!! Till next year.........
